Picked up a growler of this and wasnt feeling it at all. Pours a golden copper color with a decent head that quickly disappears leaving very little lace. Smells like a train wreck of fruits and coffee. Starts off nice and citrusy with a good mouthfel and moderate carbonation. Leaves a decent floral taste lingering as with Mojo IPA but soon gets dry and leaves a bitter taste. And Im not talking about the bitterness you get from hops which is very faint. It reminds me of some dry champagne. I wouldnt get it again.

On tap at Max's last night.

Amber copper in color, there's a light brown head that recedes to a ring rather quickly, leaving a little lace. The nose has coffee and caramel, along with bourbon and vanilla. Oak really comes through too, rather raw and woody. All of this is amplified on the palate. Opening with caramel, toffee and plenty of coconut, I also get quite a bit of vanilla. Oak is present by the bucketload, there's an almost raw, lumber-like character with plenty of vanilla. Drying and tannic on the finish, there's a raw oak astringency to this beer. The base brown ale is washed out, there's a hot alcoholic character to this. Medium-light in body and light in carbonation, this is rather disappointing

Took a quick trip up to Boulder Brewing Company after I heard they had bourbon barrel aged beers on tap. This was the offering that night. Poured a medium brown color with a decent head. Aromas of bourbon, coffee and coconut. On the palate, this one was thin and a little watery tasting with some decent bourbon, vanilla and coffee flavors. Kind of a let down.
