I bought this beer on a whim because the label amused me. What a surprise - I love this beer!!! It reminds me a lot of the three floyds gumballhead, which is one of my favorite beers of all time.
It pours a hazy deep amber color with minimal head.(I love the look of a hazy beer that doesn't have glops of goop in it)
Mouthfeel is very nice and crisp and dry, which really appeals to me. It is fizzy, but not a cheezy carbonation type of fizzy, it is more of a rich and dry fizz.
Aaah, the flavor. Very clean, very dry, yet - to me - not bitter. Very hoppy, but it is a dry hop. It has a citrusy flavor, almost like grapefruit peels. To me that It isn't gross, it is crisp for it is done very well.
It has a dry finish that fades into nothing. No bad aftertaste, just some lingering clean sweetness.
this has become one of my very few standards.
By the way: This is the only beer I've had that I enjoy VERY COLD! I usually like them more a tad bit warmer than 'fridge temp, maybe around 50 or so. Not this one. It even makes a good slushie.

12 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in a snifter
A - It is a deep amber color bordering on copper. It is topped with two inches of beige head.
S - I smell some light fruity and floral hops. There is a caramel malt backbone with a dank smell of a red ale.
T - The taste is a nice balance between malt and hops. The hop taste is similar to the smell, light fruit and floral. The malt has some deep grain flavors. It is earthy.
M - Medium
O - It's been a long time since I have had this beer. It is a decent pale ale. It is not something I would drink regularly. It does not stand out as some others do. I would almost call it am amber ale based on appearance.
