On tap at Old Chicago Westminster. Poured a very dark brown, almost black color with a slight tan head that quickly disapated. Aromas of sweeter malt, some coffee, and bitter chocolate. Taste was roasted malt, bitter chocolate, a bit of coffee, and just a touch of smoke. I like this one on tap mucho better than in the bottle: I belive I'll have another two or three before this mini-tour ends.

Boulder Beer Planet Porter has a medium, creamy, beige head, a very dark, almost black, brown appearance, and a good amount of lacing left behind. The aroma is of dark-roasted barley malt, charcoal, sweetness, and black cherry. Taste is of those elements, with the noticeable char, yet little bitterness is detected. Mouthfeel is medium and slick, and Planet Porter finishes semi-dry, rich, sweet, and good.
