Appearance: Dark brown body with a wispy head that dissolves quickly but leaves a nice lace.
Smell: Roasted, sweet aroma with berries on the nose.
Taste: Kind of like a dark chocolate covered raspberry. Tastes of dark, rich roasted malts that give way to some sweetness, followed by a slightly tart aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Not as thick and grainy as other porters, but not watered down either. But on the light side, indeed.
Drinkability: This beer offered more than I expected and would be a good choice as a dessert beer.
Serving type: on-tap

Boulder Beer Planet Porter has a medium, creamy, beige head, a very dark, almost black, brown appearance, and a good amount of lacing left behind. The aroma is of dark-roasted barley malt, charcoal, sweetness, and black cherry. Taste is of those elements, with the noticeable char, yet little bitterness is detected. Mouthfeel is medium and slick, and Planet Porter finishes semi-dry, rich, sweet, and good.
