Wow this is a good hophead beer. Thanks to Remilamy for bringing me some from MN.
A - Magnificent. Dark Orange and Amber. This beer poured a 3 finger head that crowded up into some solid hop residue. Lacing was a thick coat of this solid stuff here and there. Kept a nice thin head all the way down.
S - Lots of citrus, grapefruit up front with a nice sharp hop twang. Noticing the deep color's malt to the nose.
T - Like a sharper Avery Maharaja. The malt backbone was just a tad lighter than Avery's but this is what I like to model homebrews after right here.
M - Could use a tad more carbonation, but I'm not complaining because the taste is overwhelming delicious that the mouthfeel becomes 2% of it's judgement.
D - Only dinging it a little because for a 6.2% beer it seems a little heavy. But it is smoooth and goes down like liquid candy and hops. I could have two or three of these and be alright. :)
