Clear, deep copper with a rich and abundant creamy light tan head that leaves a whole lot of lace.
Nose is a complex, malty, spicy, woody, floral mix with hints of dry pine needles, orange peel. And there is something that smells like a hot day at a Minnesota pond, swamp, ditch, lake (is it cattail?), something.
Taste is a classic American IPA with a hint of a toasty twist. Starts out round and balanced, with a slow build on the spicy bitterness. Very nice.
Overall: Seems more full bodied and flavorful to me than last time, still, a medium light to medium bodied beer. Great to have it from the can, after not being able to get any for a year. Too bad I didn't get more, but I got a lot more Bender, which is much more my speed anyway.
