App Pours brown with some red hints and a thin film for a head. From the thin film comes a surprisingly well developed lacing structure.
Smell - roasted malt and dark chocolate at first. Coffee comes through later and the balance is excellent.
Taste- coffee is prominent, as is a sweetness from the malt and a bit of roasty bitterness. The aftertaste is long and focuses heavily On the roasted qualities of the drink.
Mouthfeel/ drinkability- feels at first thin- not in a bad way, just not heavy and filling like some beers. The beer is refreshing because of how well balanced it is. The coffee/roasted taste lingers and is quite pleasant. The complexity deepens as the beer warms and more caramel tones come through.
