Woodsy, mushroomy aroma is interesting start. Color is dark amber with a hint of brown. Decent head with carbonation lasting in the glass. Body is very light and watery.
A mouthful of flavors but not very malty in the usual sense. A mellow roasted grain taste, like buckwheat dominates. Unidentifiable prickly, spicy hints. Vegetable note, like butternut squash without the sweetness.
Hops become very strong after a few sips and leave an intense aftertaste. Whatever that hop is, it's a killer. A different beer for those who like unusual flavors, and worth a taste. The last half of the pint is the problem.
