2010 bottle initially served at cellar temp (55) and revisited after 2 hours.
A: Quite dark. Distinguished itself in a heavy lineup. Thick and lo-carb of course, but produces a fair finger thickness tan head that slowly dissipates into a tightly knit ring.
S: Malt extract and stout reduction. Some volatile acids apparent, but not in an offensive way. Nothing exceptional, but smells delicious.
T: Malt extract again here, with a lightly burnt roast edge. Chocolate not as pronounced as expected, and there is a light sharpness from acidity and/or hops that keeps this fairly 'fresh.'
M: Lighter than anticipated. Not significantly heftier than alot of normal production stouts, which isn't a bad thing. Not palate fatiguing. Full bodied.
D: For a big beer, I could see this getting dangerous. Good enough to want more. Goes down almost too easily.
An excellent brew that I'd gladly trade for again. Worth seeking out.
