We took a break from brewing our Wet Hopped West Coast Style IPA in 2014 while we moved into our new brewery so for 2015 we came back with a bang. Our 2015 edition features 6,000 lbs of Simcoe hops harvested from the Yakima region of Washington. We went all out in 2015 and brewed 600 barrels, TEN TIMES as much WET as we first brewed when we started wet hopping back in 2009. And, for the first time ever, WET distribution will reach our neighbors in Wisconsin, Iowa and Chicago in both draft and 16oz cans.
2019 was Mosaic hops only
2018 was Citra hops only
2017 was Mosaic hops only
2013 was a mix of Cascade and Centennial hops
2012 was Simcoe hops only
2011 was Citra hops only
2,400 lbs of hops picked freshly in oregon and shipped to Minnesota immediately. We brewed this beer three days later. This is a hop forward beer, dry with subdued malt flavors.
STYLE: West Coast India Pale Ale
MALT: 2-Row, Crystal Crystal
WET HOPS: Citra, Simcoe
BITTERING HOPS: Columbus
YEAST: English Ale
OG: 17º Plato
IBU: 90
AVAILABILITY: October

Poured from a 16 oz. can into my Duvel tulip. Received as an extra in a trade with GoldenJet; big thanks Cory! This was a Want I was thinking of trying to trade for. Canned on 10/12/10, consumed on 11/11/10.
a - Pours a nice transparent golden amber color with one finger of fluffy white head with great retention and light carbonation evident. Leaves a little bit of lacing on the glass.
s - Smells of pine hops, citrus hops, fruity malts, floral notes, and tropical fruits. Smells great and strongly of juicy wet hops, though they aren't too overpowering.
t - Tastes of citrus hops, tropical fruit, fruity malts, a small amount of pine hops, grapefruit, and maybe some caramel malts in the end. Slight bitterness up front that subsides into malts, much more so than the smell.
m - Medium body and moderate carbonation. Juicy.
d - I thought this was a very good wet hop IPA. I thought it smelled really good; the hops were fresh and present, but not too overpowering or in your face. The taste had more malts then I was expecting, but I liked this beer a lot. I also found it very drinkable for 7.5% ABV. Glad to have a 4 pack of it and would certainly like to have it again sometime.

I got a can of this beer from a beer store in La Crosse, WI. It poured a clear orangish with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had dank fruit malty hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with fresh floral hop presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.

A - pours a golden bronze with red tints. Layers of puffy white head with a sticky finish.
S - Earthy, fresh hops, dank, piney.
T - Fresh hops, layers of citrus, piney, resinous, and dank. Balanced nicely with a dry and bitter finish - that clings to your tongue.
O - Solid Harvest IPA. Fresh and balanced and easily quaffable.

Here it is ladies and gents, my 1,000th and last review. (And this one here was a big time want.)
Kind of like Kiera Knightly in a nightie, this one has Raul intrigued. But when I disrobed said hottie’s garb (when I took that first sip) - pure disappoint. Almost as if Kiera let her beaver grow wild, it’s just pure sadness. The beer is simply flat. Like, flatter than flat. Now, I’m still not kicking Kiera out of the bed because she is still Kiera. Just like I’m not going to dump this Wet because it’s still Wet. But I guess I just haz a sad. At 2 months old, I’m guessing this wet hop beer needs to be consumed ultra fresh. It wouldn’t have such a high rating if it tasted like it does right now.
So long, my beautiful minions. All I can say is don’t be afraid to clap back!
