16 oz. can poured into my CCB tulip.

A: Very light orange color. The pour dropped a great 2 finger head that left tons of spotty lace.

A: Great sticky hop aroma. Ripe citrus friut, with a touch of pine sap. Light notes of caramel malts give a nice touch to a very hop centric brew.

T: Very bitter but also quite sweet. The caramel notes come through in a big way, but in now way detract fom the essence of the brew, which is undoubtably the hops.

M: Medium body, perfect level of carbonation.

O: Great beer. Funny how a brewery in Minnesota can do a west coast ipa better than the west coast. Wish I had more. Skal.

16oz can thanks to my Surly hookup, Mike.

A - Pours a orage, white frothy head, sticky lacing, think collar, wisps on top.

S - Showcases the Citra hop wonderfully. Tropical fruits, bitter hops, slight dank notes, pine. Not quite as nice as Zombie Dust.

T - Lots of Citra notes, pine, huge bitter bomb, dank, tropical notes, that finishes really bitter.

M - Light to medium, good carbonation, oily finish.

O - An excellent beer that shows how awesome Citra hops are. I could rotate between Zombie Dust and Wet until I die of hop-overload. Excellent.

Poured from the can into my Chicago Cubs pint glass. Not sure if this can came from Sean or Dan, but thanks to both of you for introducing me to this wonderful beer! Canned on 10/31/11.

A - Pours a murky yellow-amber-orange that I can just barely see through. A fairly aggressive pour produces two fingers plus of off white head, with a nice amount of creaminess to it, almost like melted ice cream. Looks delicious!

S - Cirtusy hop bomb, with just the faintest hint of piney hops in the background, just enough to give a crispness to it. Also pick up a prominent malt characteristic to it, which, while definitely taking a back seat to the hop profile, adds a nice balanced feel to the nose.

T - Excellent citrusy hops paired with the same malty profile detected in the nose, though in the mouth it is more prominent than I expected. I don't know how else to describe it, but there is something juicy about this beer. I suppose it's something about the citrus dominance, but it is definitely enjoyable. The piney hops help create a nice, crisp and clean finish. A nicely balance and incredibly smooth IPA.

M - Fairly smooth and juicy as I mentioned in the taste section, but there is the slightest bit of an alcohol bite in the finish that doesn't quite seem to fit.

O - Overall an excellent beer, and one that I will definitely seek out again next year when it's fresh.

Thanks to Millah for throwing these in as extras!
Poured in to Nonic Pint

Color: This beer shines golden caramel hue. A fluffy two finger white head forms after the pour and it slowly reduces to a dime sized rings around the top of the glass. Good head retention and minimal lacing from this beer.

Nose: Massive amount of fresh hops! Smells like a wet forest in the spring... ahhh delicious. Light amount of citrus flavors rise from the glass as the beer warms, but the aroma is still all hops. Tiny hints of caramel in this beer as well.

Palate: Smooth and crisp. The drinkability of this beer is just sublime. No hints of alcohol, just all hops and mellow tangerine and peach. The tongue just gets lambasted with a plethora of hops, but its inviting and tasty. At the back the palate gets cleansed by the underlying citrus of the brew.

Finish: It goes down way to fast and way to good. Nothing but good things to say about this beer.... well done Surly. Best wet hop IPA in my book.

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass. Dating on can is October 31st 2011. I'll take it!

A real nice wonderfully tiny pin head sized forming bubbles of off whit head is made. Extremely uniform, sitting on a very clear orange amber body, some slow rising carbonation, the odd cola bubble stuck to the side of the glass. Lots of stickiness, and giant clumps to bite into for the head. very impressive.

Nose is mushy fruit, and a mix of faint pine, but mostly mushed apricot and citrus hop. Seems a bit sweet and sugary sensation also.

Very interesting palate. Muted but nice stinging short hop palate with a good mix of malt and hop on the finish. Sweetness sensed from the nose is toned down considerably, mixing with a few hints of pine and good soft resin. Citrus angle fruit and mushiness doesn't seem to be as present which makes it much more enjoyable. Texture is almost velvety, rich , just a faint hint of carbonation to keep it all lively.

Very nice beer, a great one, perhaps not my favorite wet hop IPA but it sure is up there. Just another great beer from Surly.

Had this on 2011-11-21 in Columbia, PA

A - Clear amber-copper with a 1.5-finger off-white head and mild lacing.

S - Citrus, some tropical, hop bud dank and floral. Smells better out of the can than it did on-tap; perhaps due to the cooking smells in Cafe 28.

T - Hop forward but not over-the-top. Pine, citrus, light pineapple, hop bud goo. There's some fresh citrus flesh and a bit of malty sweetness that hints at caramel. This sweetness lingers into the aftertaste but is gradually overcome by grapefruit zest. The fresh, vegetal hop bud dankness never lets up. Awesome.

M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation. Prickly. A little resinous. Smooth and crisp.

O - A very fine, wet-hopped brew. Reminded me of a Port High Tide but with a brighter citrus flavor and even more dankness.

Great hop & sweet smell as I pop open the can - poured into a pint glass, the appearance is a nice dark-golden/amber hue. Not a lot of head (I find all the Surly beers I've had to be lower in carbonation), but decent lacing. Good amount of bitter and hops at the front followed with a sweetness and a slightly dry finish.

Overall a very good, hoppy beer that any hop-head should try.
