First taste of the Four, which I have been eagerly anticipating, and also making this my first beer review. Served in a tulip at 58 degrees from the cellar.
A - 4.5 Pours dark pitch black with an inch foam and great lacing that remains throughout. Sets the stage for what's to come.
S - 4.5 Smells of the expresso, smoke, and hops come through, with a hint of the milky goodness.
T - Mouth fills initially with sweet caramel and smoke, which is then hit with espresso and finished with the milky sweetness. WoW!!!
M - For the appearance, it is very light in the mouthfeel, but the finish on this beer just goes and goes!
D - Off the charts if you are a coffee and sweet stout lover. Glad I bought a good bunch of these to enjoy, and maybe trade.
