No date on the bottle, but a few years old. Dark for a saison. Smell is tart and funky. Taste is as well, with flavors of bread and wine barrel and apple. Dry finish. One of the biggest bodied saisons I’ve ever had. Boozy as hell. Excellent beer.

750ml bottle. Stamped bottling date on bottle neck is '12/06/16'.
Cloudy, pale gold colored body. One finger of fizzy white head stays around longer than expected, as bubbly cap. Leaves behind some strands of lacing.
Aroma of fruit (apple and pear) and lots of Brett funk. The note of oak white wine barrels is present also.
Taste has fruit (orange, pear, and apple), with strong notes of barnyard funk (horse blanket, leather, and grass). The oak white wine barrels introduce a vinous touch. The end is dry.
Medium plus mouth feel, very soft texture. Totally refreshing. Very good carbonation.
A Saison with white wine barrel notes, this beer is so easy to quaff. The Brett yeast has done wonders here.

If you are looking for a unique beer try this one out. First there is so much going on. Bursts of wine, brett, belgian yeast, white grape, biscuit malt, oak, dried fig, pepper, pear, and esters, fill up the palate in a beautiful and soft complexity both in smell and especially taste. Transfixed by the mouthfeel, with elements of a dry white wine meet a yeasty and rich saison. A great experiment with great success, surly nailed this one. Pairs lovely with artisan cheese

Killer golden color. Nice cascading bubbles. Good sour, saison smell, and a great, bright lemony zest taste. Leaves that great "saison" taste at the back of your throat. A really solid saison.

12 oz serving tasted in a snifter from draft at The Vine on April 14, 2018. This Belgian style saison ale is aged in oak barrels with Brettanomyces. Golden in color, it has notes of tropical fruit and oak.

Thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml waxed and capped bottle into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.
Nose is peppercorn, Brett and lemon with a light, peppery, yeasty bitterness. Aromatic. Spot on with an appreciable funk. Beer opens bright. Hints of lemon zest, peppercorn, coriander, wet wood and a touch of Belgian yeast. A nice, Brett funk in the middle takes over the light, prickly saison flavors with a sprinkle of bitterness and finishes with a bit of hay and wet grass. Delicious! Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively on palate and aggressive going down but with a surprisingly soft finish and a clean aftertaste. Goes down easy and makes me want to go back for more.
I haven't always appreciated Brett'd saisons but this is very very good. Super drinkable and great complexity. Definitely a sleeper for me.
