Poured from a bottle into a schooner. Best before date on the bottle is 22.11.11 - well within time!
A - very sprightly and slightly cloudy yellow brew with a huge fluffy white head that resolves into a chunky finger and a half with bits of lacing down the glass.
S - moderately intense nose with notes of grassy hops and a bit of lemon.
T - nicely balanced hops attack with a grassy quality backed by a minimal malt profile; the bitterness endures and sticks at the back of the throat along with some very late floral notes. Not excessive hops or bitterness like a west coast brew, but pretty solid. Quite nice really.
M - medium body with moderate carbonation. It does coat the mouth a little, but isn't excessively oily.
D - very refreshing and crisp. Goes down easy.
Very nice IPA in the British, rather than US style. Nicely balanced with solid hop profile never quite taking over. Would recommend it.

Color- hazy sunshine. Full head.
Aroma- floral, hints of pineapple, and hint of bread.
Taste- a gentle, sublime English IPA. Starts with a hoppiness that balances between mild citrus and floral, then transitions to an effervescent farmhouse ale with notes of earthiness, and finishes with mild lemon-like hops. Has some similarities to a Belgian IPA but with more balanced hoppiness.
Poured from 500 ml bottle into a Liefmans Goudenband glass (my preferred all purpose beer tasting glass). Tasted July 2014. Purchased at Whole Foods in Austin.

This beer was a pleasant surprise. I am used to drinking super-hoppy and bitter beers. However, this beer had a nice bit of hops but it was very smooth and very easy to drink. On top of the hops, I also got subtle notes of citrus, pine, and grass. Would definitely want to drink again.
