Chiron is our beautifully balanced American Pale Ale. We use a curated selection of classic US hops for their distinctive aromas of pine and citrus. These are added onto a foundation of the finest malt to give this beer an inviting light amber hue and a touch of caramel sweetness. Flavours of orange and peach dance on the palate before it culminates with a refreshing hop bite.

Golden color, almost clear. White foam, high, durable, gently sticks to the glass.
The aroma is very light, sweet, hoppy - fruity (here citrus) with a bit of resin. The caramel background complements the aroma of this beer.
The taste is similar, sweet with a dry, grapefruit, medium-long finish.
Medium saturation. The body is low, the liquid seems watery. Medium smooth texture. Fruity aftertaste with a dry finish.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, Golden colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of tropical fruits, particularly mango, passion fruit and rambutan. Light bodied. The flavour has plenty of fruity hops (tropical fruits again) , but is not too sweet. The bitterness is quite moderate though. A perfect thirstquencher.

Not that different to their Jaipur. Seems to be a clone of Lagunitas IPA. Nice rich mouthfeel but diacetyl butterscotchness. Kind of bored of this style now. Things move on. Glad they are trying out sours.

Pours clear amber into a tulip glass from a pint bottle. The white head is 2-3 fingers high, foamy, moderately retained, and leaves moderate lacing on the glass. It dissapates to white froth after a minute or so.

The aroma is quite heady with grapefruit, pear, pine resin, and hops. There is thick citrus base to this beer, incorporating both ends of the spectrum of ripe-yet-pithy, on the nose. Those piney aromas give the ale a fresh, grassy scent, which mixes pleasantly with a lot of hops.

The mouth is positively filled with hops; this is a resiny, piney pale ale which draws on a lot of grapefruit, pear, mango and lychee flavours from sip to swallow yet doesn't overdo it. There is a hop bitterness on the tongue the entire time, but it never peaks like so many other pale ales, rather rolls pleasantly in the mouth, and you get the aromatic flavours on the finish instead. This gives a very fresh, floral aftertaste layered with light biscuit malts, and a balanced bitterness.

It feels rather full for a medium bodied beer, lightly carbonated, and quite beautifully oily. So many PA's let themselves down with a watery body, but this has a bit of solidity to it which is a breath of fresh air. The thicker feel combined with nice aromatic, fresh fruity flavours, make it equally enjoyable as a session-er and an easy goer.

Would recommend.
