A Belgian brewed with "whole flower Mt. Rainier Hops and Rye Malt." Go this on tap; it
s one of their one-time seasonal brews.
Served up in a small glass. Clear amber, small white head. Visible carbonation. Nose is Belgian sugars. Slight pear and hop juice. Fresh.
Taste is decent. Vague Belgian sugar mix, lingering malt. Some grassy notes.
Pretty good mouthfeel and drinkability.

Imperial pint on draught at the pub, Le Pelican D'Or is gold with a small white head that leaves scattered lace.

Smell is quite nice, big fruity farmhouse esters.

Taste also has some fruity farmhouse esters, but with a fairly firm bitterness, which accentuates the spiciness and lingers on the long finish. As it warms up, fusel alcohol heat starts to rear their ugly head.

Mouthfeel is dry and crisp, medium light bodied.

Drinkability is pretty good, some decent facets, but in the end they were not enough to win me over, losing to the fusels.
