Bottled 6/11/13. Bomber served chilled into a pint glass.

Silverspot is a pale amber color with good clarity. The head is thick and white and leaves a little lace as it settles.

Aroma is hoppy with a mix of citrusy west coast hop varieties.

Flavor is balanced and enjoyable with a tropical fruit sweetness up front, moderately bitter with orange citrus. Calling it an English IPA doesn't seem appropriate but it's tasty.

Mouthfeel is medium light in body, nicely carbonated and balanced.

Overall a tasty IPA.

22oz : tulip
from notes.

Clear, bright, golden copper with foamy, bubbly off white head some lacing

Fruity, sweet citric and floral notes, a unique hop profile. Mild, biscuit malt backing.

Medium- body with average carb.

A well done English IPA. a little bit more hoppy than I'd expect for the style, but still appropriate.

A: Clear amber golden body, cream hued head.
S: Biscuit, herbal and malty aromas. Orange blossom emerges as it warms.
T: Bready malt backbone leads to hoppy, lightly bitter finish.
M: Smooth, crisp and dry.
O: Tasty, balanced IPA that is easily drinkable and thoroughly enjoyable.

Pours three fingers of head on a clear medium straw colored body.
The aroma is earthy with some lemon and mandarin notes. Pleasant.
The taste starts with a mildly sweet orange taste, then moves to a dry pine and grapefruit bitterness in the middle to end.
The texture is soft with crisp edges and moderate carbonation.
Great flavor profile and balance.

Pours clear amber with two fingers of off white head that lasts a good five minutes. Clumps of lacing follows ring of head as it drops.
Smell is biscuit malts, some hop aroma.
Taste is sweet malts followed quickly by an earthy hop bitterness. Not much in the way of citrus or floral. A touch of leather from the hops.
Mouthfeel is well carbonated medium bodied with a moderately dry bitter finish.
Overall a well crafted beer that was a bit bolder than I would expect from this style. Very tasty though and well worth a taste. Stamped bttld 061113.

Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint glass. A bit old, 11/26/12.

A thick off white fluffy head is presented with lots of staying power. Body is a burnt orange amber, with a little rising carbonation but also a little hazy.

Nose smells more like English bitter. Crisp biscuity malts and marmalade mild sweetness. Kind of light jam, and some faded herbal tea like hops.

First sip brings a bit of expected malt bitter like backbone. However the palate opens with some nice orange hop quite a bit. Finish has a real nice orange creamy mellow sweetness, and a little bit of hop sting. Repeat sips bring up much more pleasurable orange. Low to moderate carbonation which makes you focus on the palate much easier.

Overall I really like the orange bent and it drinks real easy, but I am not convinced this is optimal drinking right now.

Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a half finger white head that dissipates slowely leaving light lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, light grassy hops; slightly spicy. Flavor follows with sharp, dry biscuit malt, light citrus finishing with unique dry toffee and grassy hop bitterness. Medium bodied. Closer in style to an amped up ESB; appropriate malty base with some other interesting flavor characteristics. As an IPA, perhaps muted, but as a variation on a bitter, pleasant and interesting.

22 oz bottle from Roths Sunnyslope Market in S.Salem. $4.99 Typical IPA ..burnt orange body to the ale but with a huge thick off white head. Very nice gentle floral/citrus hoppiness..i sense caramel malts also in the aroma. Smooth balanced taste..wit the hops taking it at the end..honey ,caramel malts balance citric.fruity hops. English style? maybe Nice low carbonated mouthfeel..smooth and easy drinker. Nothing exciting but a nice easy going IPA..and it helps our native fauna so why not!
