A beautiful brew-pub, enshrouded in heavy fog during my visit. The first room you enter is filled with a fridge with bottles for sale and lots of memorabilia. You also can request a table here. Inside, there are 12 seats around the spacious bar and at least that many booths on each wall. Clean, comfortable, NW-feeling, but modern with good acoustics and lighting. A good happy family crowd was in attendance.

Taps rotate frequently - sadly they had no cask offering while I was there, but they frequently do. Their line-up is diverse and well crafted, so I give them high marks for selection even though they don't seem to have guest taps. The bottle list usually includes everything you might want from them, again, all very reasonably priced (as are the small growlers they sell).

Service is rapid, friendly, thoughtful, and anticipatory from the hostess to the bartender (who will mix up a wide variety of well drinks without a snicker) on down the line. I've ordered from them over the phone before as well and experienced the same unparalleled care.

I had the pizza which was OK, though the crusts could have been better. The other food looked tasty, though a bit expensive.

Very much deserving of your time.

One of my favorite places. My wife and I got engaged there. We visit as often as we can. Great beer, nice people, incredible view. Fill your growler and take a walk on the beach. I love it!

Tillamook Pub: Wonderfully diverse & stylistically delicious brew selection, attentive & swift service, knowledgeable staff. Appropriate pricing on create-your-own brew sampler platters (for me, this is always a highlight for any brewery visit).

My wife and I stopped for lunch on a Tuesday as we traveled up the Oregon Coast eventually to Portland. We arrived at 2pm and it was still packed for lunch. Picture a very beach town type crowd. It was mostly locals or coastal tourists there for lunch.

We had to wait about 30 minutes for a seat outside, but the back patio is nice and the view is amazing. It was a beautiful, slightly cool sunny day and like most say on here, that ROCK is mesmerizing for some reason. If you like ocean views, check this place out.

They had all staples on tap, plus 3-4 seasonals/one-offs. In the front, they sell tons of brewery merchandise and most staples to go. They sell pints, a smaller size (I think it was 10oz) and then a flight. Their flight is pre-set to include all of their staples and one (1) seasonal/one-off. No substitutes. For example, the non staples they had no tap were Sea Hops, Peliweiss, Winema Wit and their Summer Ale.

The food was good, no complaints, but more expensive then I thought it would be. I wouldn't say I was impressed or blown away, just good food, average to slightly above average beer and good service with a great view.

This was stop #12 for my wife and I on a 21-day pub-crawl from Michigan to N. CA and OR. We stopped here to try their beers, but ended up having a snack as a go-along. The pub is located on the Pacific shore of this rustic community, and has an ocean view that has to be the best of any brewpub anywhere with that giant rock sitting out there in the water, even when it’s gloomy and rainy like it was that day. (I don’t know why a giant rock is so mesmerizing.) The exterior of the building is seaside rustic, and the interior has a balanced feel of a restaurant that also has a nice pub feel to it. A long wooden bar and back-bar just fit nicely here.

We came here for dinner and to try the beers. We ordered the brewery’s standard sampler flight with 7 beers, plus three others that we also wanted to sample. Every one of these beers was brewed to a level above the norm for the style, and our grading system put this brewery into the top 5 of the 40 breweries that we visited during our three-week pub-crawl. We felt that all of the beers graded to at least a B level, and the Cherry Poppin’ Dory was the standout at an A- rating.

Our food was equally as impressive as the beers, plus we added a Beer-A-Misu dessert onto our feast. (Yum!) We also discovered that the pub was open for breakfast, so since were staying across the street we returned the next morning. The breakfast was also very good, plus we got to enjoy the scenic view again, but with sunshine this time. This pub is a must-visit for anyone who is touring the beer scene in Portland and has the time to detour to Pacific City.

Took some time off last summer and drove with the wife from LA to Canada so I hit numerous breweries in Northern California all the big boys and they were all great.

This place was memorable because it came as a complete surprise I found it by pure luck looking for a restroom off a rural section of PCH. It was literally like an oasis.

First off we parked the jeep on the sand walked over and sat in the patio right by the water had some great food and several beers. The service was great nice mixed crowd of friendly local and tourists. Even picked up some cool sweatshirts. We will definitely be going back.

Another stop on my West coast brewery tour. This place has the most beautiful location of any place I have been too. Pulling up the place is awesome. It sits right on the coast. Amazing. The building is quite nice, with a friendly and cozy atmosphere. The service was very good and the beer selection was good also. The Tsunami Stout I have was pretty good, it didn't blow me away. I didn't try the food. They have a decent sized gift shop, with an okay selection. They also have a nice selection of beers to take home with you.

Well worth stopping by. Enjoy the tasty beer and marvel at the scenery.

Although it was built and opened after I left for college, having grown up in Pacific City, I have an emotional attachment to the Pelican Pub. I still consider it my home town brew pub.
Getting home a couple times a year, I get to go to the Pelican at various times of the year. So some times the place is packed with a significant wait time, and others there might be one or two other locals.
The food is typical ocean side bar fare with an upscale twist. Burgers and crab cakes are our favorites. The atmosphere again matches the location. The view it tough to beat (again a bias view), and the sand on the floor may not be typically what you expect to find in a brew pub, but it fits perfectly.
As for the beer, well that speaks for itself. Pelican has been working its way up into national prominence in brew pubs of its size.
The Pelican is an absolute must stop on any trip along the Oregon coast, and probably worth a special trip from Portland even if your route doesn't take you too the coast.
