Visited Pacific City this week with one of my aunts who has a place practically a stones throw from the Pelican, we went in and tasted some beers and had dinner there then got some pizza from there another night with take-out beer. Though it wasn't too bad when I was there, the pelican is usually relatively busy, summers especially. The waiting room is filled with typical Oregon coast T-shirts offered in a million colors, it drives your eyes crazy. Beer to-go can be bought there and you can order take out as well. Inside of that room is the bar and restaurant. My server the fest night was actually one of the bartenders, he was a rally nice guy an knew his stuff when it came to beer. Another worker caught me taking notes on a snifter of Mother Of All Storms and exclaimed "that's what I like to see!" Very cool that they encourage beer-geekery, props to that guy, pretty sure he's a BA user too. The dining room is very open, well-lit and clean with the exception of the slight grit on the floor due to the sand that gets in, I suppose you gotta take that when you have a prime beachfront brewery. The bar had about 10 or 12 working taps that night, featuring most of their regulars and a couple pub specials. I got a sampler tray with my meal and added a sample of MoaS for an extra buck, which is totally with it. The food was really good, my aunt is a total foodie who has been to the pelican a bunch of times and she have it her stamp of approval. The second night I went to get some take-out pizza and beer. There was a new guy working the register and he had some trouble, eventually requiring the help of someone else, I felt bad for him, it was a busy night and h had a lot of pressure. Unfortunately my pizza order got messed up, but they fixed the problem at no cost to me. Pizzas are delicious, but are really small, I almost ate one by myself. I really njoy this place, it's tough to compete with an oceanfront view and world class beer. I'd just like to see PAC-city grow up a little more so that the pelican can really grow to its fullest potential.

One of my favorite places. My wife and I got engaged there. We visit as often as we can. Great beer, nice people, incredible view. Fill your growler and take a walk on the beach. I love it!

Tillamook Pub: Wonderfully diverse & stylistically delicious brew selection, attentive & swift service, knowledgeable staff. Appropriate pricing on create-your-own brew sampler platters (for me, this is always a highlight for any brewery visit).

My wife and I stopped for lunch on a Tuesday as we traveled up the Oregon Coast eventually to Portland. We arrived at 2pm and it was still packed for lunch. Picture a very beach town type crowd. It was mostly locals or coastal tourists there for lunch.

We had to wait about 30 minutes for a seat outside, but the back patio is nice and the view is amazing. It was a beautiful, slightly cool sunny day and like most say on here, that ROCK is mesmerizing for some reason. If you like ocean views, check this place out.

They had all staples on tap, plus 3-4 seasonals/one-offs. In the front, they sell tons of brewery merchandise and most staples to go. They sell pints, a smaller size (I think it was 10oz) and then a flight. Their flight is pre-set to include all of their staples and one (1) seasonal/one-off. No substitutes. For example, the non staples they had no tap were Sea Hops, Peliweiss, Winema Wit and their Summer Ale.

The food was good, no complaints, but more expensive then I thought it would be. I wouldn't say I was impressed or blown away, just good food, average to slightly above average beer and good service with a great view.

This was stop #12 for my wife and I on a 21-day pub-crawl from Michigan to N. CA and OR. We stopped here to try their beers, but ended up having a snack as a go-along. The pub is located on the Pacific shore of this rustic community, and has an ocean view that has to be the best of any brewpub anywhere with that giant rock sitting out there in the water, even when it’s gloomy and rainy like it was that day. (I don’t know why a giant rock is so mesmerizing.) The exterior of the building is seaside rustic, and the interior has a balanced feel of a restaurant that also has a nice pub feel to it. A long wooden bar and back-bar just fit nicely here.

We came here for dinner and to try the beers. We ordered the brewery’s standard sampler flight with 7 beers, plus three others that we also wanted to sample. Every one of these beers was brewed to a level above the norm for the style, and our grading system put this brewery into the top 5 of the 40 breweries that we visited during our three-week pub-crawl. We felt that all of the beers graded to at least a B level, and the Cherry Poppin’ Dory was the standout at an A- rating.

Our food was equally as impressive as the beers, plus we added a Beer-A-Misu dessert onto our feast. (Yum!) We also discovered that the pub was open for breakfast, so since were staying across the street we returned the next morning. The breakfast was also very good, plus we got to enjoy the scenic view again, but with sunshine this time. This pub is a must-visit for anyone who is touring the beer scene in Portland and has the time to detour to Pacific City.

Took some time off last summer and drove with the wife from LA to Canada so I hit numerous breweries in Northern California all the big boys and they were all great.

This place was memorable because it came as a complete surprise I found it by pure luck looking for a restroom off a rural section of PCH. It was literally like an oasis.

First off we parked the jeep on the sand walked over and sat in the patio right by the water had some great food and several beers. The service was great nice mixed crowd of friendly local and tourists. Even picked up some cool sweatshirts. We will definitely be going back.
