Pretty classy English style decor. Nice throne style seating and high set boths.

Beers were fairly fresh. Actually, I had a Founder's IPA, and it was fairly unfresh, and Founder's is less than a block away. Which reminds of how stupid Michigan's distro system is.

Decent, prompt service, although the waitress didn't seem to know much about beer.

Selection is better than average for an English pub. around 5 or 6 beers worth drinking, and like tikkigodd said, all on the "lighter side."

Overall, an OK place, certainly not the best in GR, but worthwhile for a little pre-Founder's food.

Cambridge House is supposed to be like an English pub. It's pretty spacious for the amount of tables, and there is a lounge area with couches and things like that. It's more comfortable for me than a sports bar, but the vibe is a lot less comfortable and personal than my favorite bars.

The selection isn't too extensive. About a dozen beers on tap, a little more than half of which I would call quality craft brews. These range in price from $4-5 a pint. Bottles start at $4.

The service is pretty good, but one time they had put someone else's beers on my tab in addition to mine, and I had to go straighten it out, which was annoying.

The food is nothing to write home about either; just alright, but a little on the pricey side.

Of the three or four times I've gone here, I don't think it was ever my idea... and I don't think it ever will be. It's not that I dislike this bar, it's just pretty unremarkable.
