Poured a clear golden hue, with a minimal head and next to no lacing. Again, freshness is a mild problem with English Ales coming to Australia, but they still taste damn fine.
A huge sweet peach smell dominates the nose. There is some slight bready quality and mild hoppiness, but it is all about the sweet peach.
A sweetish peach taste, and hints of passionfruit trail off with a sligh hoppy floral finish.
It is quite a light brew, but very drinkable. I still think it pales compared to the Golden Champion, but still a nice drop.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Deep golden to amber colour, moderate white head. Distinct and beguiling aroma of ripe peaches / peach flowers, even peach candy - not quite what you expect in a beer, though. The flavour is fruity with moderate notes of peaches and zesty hops (can’t identify the alleged notes of melons). Not too sweet, not too bitter (actually, slightly MORE bitterness wouldn’t hurt). Soft mouthfeel, refreshing and pleasant to drink. A nice change-of-pace beer.

I had a bottle of this in the UK. Yes, it tastes like peach, but it is not especially sweet. It tastes a bit like an unsweetened peach tea. The bottle I had was clear, which enabled me to view the golden colored beer.

From bottle. Pours Clear golden orange with a large white head that dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of peaches and malt. Taste definitely get the peach and melon. Very good.

Golden amber, half a finger of head that disappears to nothing. Peaches and nectarines are overwhelming in both aroma and taste. Decent mouthfeel.
Regrettably this beer doesn't really work; the flavour is too sweet for starters, but more to the point it is too artificial. It's as if someone has taken a regular pale ale and added fruit cordial to it. Unfortunately I've had similar feelings about other Badger beers: overwhelmed by one, specific artificial flavour.

Wonderfully peachy flavors. My review may be tainted for nostalgia from drinking this on many a summer night.
