I enjoyed this in a glass at Al's of Hampden on tap on 7/6.

The color is darker than golden with good clarity and thick creamy head with fine bead. The smell is decent with moderate amount of hops with some nice malt odors yet still pretty mild in the aroma dept. The feel is very good with good balance of malt with rye toastiness and slight bitter element of hops with moderately high carbonation and slightly dry less than full feel.

I like the taste is has a nice refreshing yeast which is mostly clean with nice citrus tinges from the hops keeping up with the mild toasted malt with perhaps a hint of caramel and earthy rye in the background. Overall I would have this again as it fits the description. It is not the best, but i have had worse extra pale ales and this one has a nice rye compliment.

On tap at Congregation Ale House in Pasadena, CA.

Pours a clear yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, rye, citrus fruit, and citrus zest. Taste is much the same with a spicy rye flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but I think it smells better than it tastes.

A bit thin, but drinkable. The rye really helps. My better half prefers their White Ale, but this was the lightest beer they had on tap at the time.

On tap at Neighborhood, 11/6/11.

A-Pale copper with a thin white head and some nice lacing.

S-Grainy and slightly sour with light hops.

T-Biscuit malt, grainy rye and earthy hops.

M-Light bodied with good carbonation.

O-Decent but nothing special. For a 4.5% beer it is certainly ok.

Clear gold, thin white head. Thin body too, but with a complex spice, black peppercorn, citrus rind, and whole cereal flavor profile that is interesting. The ABV I saw was 4.0%, and for that this one has some good stuff going on. This would make a nice table beer for a big family dinner.

Draft to Taster

@Bruery Provisions

App- A very clear yellow similar to Mischief but had a good amount of head and cling to it. Nice sliding lace.

Smell- I am so confused on this beer. Its got the Rye aspect but as I get with all of Telegraph beers it has a bit of Brett on the nose a little bit of pale malts. A little sour and a little funk.

Taste- A great amount of Rye on this beer. Very good start and then moves over to a bit of funk. The next layer comes in with some slightly earthy flavors and a bit deep and damp.

Mouth- A light and high body with a light and medium carbonation. Leaves a bit of rye and funk on the finish.

Drink- I think this well end up being a love it or hate it beer for some people. I liked it. The combination of Rye and slightly sour did it for me.
