A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a moderate to high amount of visible carbonation. A careful pour resulted in a two finger high bright white head that died down, consistently leaving a half finger high head covering the surface and lots of lacy rings of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose along with notes of lemons.
T: The taste is completely unlike the smell and has flavors of lactic acid along with notes of sourness—these mostly stand out in front of notes of grassy hops and hints of grainy malts. No bitterness is perceptible. The sourness seems to mellow a bit as the beer warms up.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and somewhat tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer doesn't taste like any other Munich Helles Lagers that I've had before—especially with its sourness—but isn't that bad if you are looking for something that is light and sour.

The big detractor on this one for me is the level of the sweetness. It's almost like a Belgian ale as opposed to a helles. The flavor is full and the carbonation is extremely lively. It's okay as a beer. But as a helles, I feel it is very much lacking.

Pours a hazy pale golden yellow with a medium white lasting head and some lacing. Aroma of citrus, lemon, grassy notes and some light biscuit malt. Taste same as aroma with some light sour notes and some bitter notes. Palate is a light body with low carbonation. Finish is sweet biscuit malt, citrus and lemon flavor, grassy and a light sour notes with a touch of bitterness. Overall an ok average brew.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a very small head. Smell is of grains and malts. Taste is crisp, malts and grains, some hops are present, a tad bitter at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a short-lived white head. Aroma is of dough, some fruitiness and slight hints of hops. Body is medium and smooth. Bready malt and herbal hops fill the mouth, some lemon zest as well. Finish is long and dry. The brew is more bitter and fruity, than ordinary Helles, but it should be quite enjoyable for lager lovers.

A: shiny straw yellow, trace white head,
S: biscuit, floral, caramel, raisin, malt
T: sweet raisin/biscuit, malt, chalky, floral,
M: light, semi-crisp/dry mouth
O: Maybe this brewery or beer is just
not my thing, but has a chalky/biscuit
and ripe fruit aftertaste. I usually enjoy
this style, but maybe I don't.
SOLID, SEE FOR YOURSELF!

This brew poured out as a clear golden yellow color with a head on top that wasn't too impressive really. The smell of the beer gave off some traditional lager aromas with some light grassy nots and some earthiness too. The taste of the beer was pretty good, it was mellow and subtle, nothing too grassy which I found nice. The mouthfeel of the beer was again pretty stanard, it was dry and crisp. Overall it's a good lager.

Pours a clear fizzy yellow with a low white head; not much lacing. The smell is crisp minerals, biscuit, grass, lemon. Taste is lots of grass and biscuit, with some faint lemon notes and something tannic that seems out of place. It's viscous, medium in body, under-carbonated due, perhaps, to a poor job filling the growler. It's a good beer, could be a little better; in any case it's very easy to drink, and one I'd happily drink again.

Golden yellow body, clearish but not as clear as can be, 2 finger white fluffy head, lots of random lacing, high carbonation. A little yeast sediment issues but nothing really detrimental.
Smells pretty good for a Helles. The fruitiness of the apples comes through along with some grassy notes and aromatic grain. Gets musty though as the beer warms. I enjoy this better quite cold.
Unripe sour Granny Smith apple, Meyer lemon, sweet grain, and just a hint of banana. The subtle sourness helps to bring out the fruity flavors better so it's not all just bready grain. The only thing that bothers me is that it's not too smooth as far as the bitterness goes.
I can tell the boys at Climax take a lot of consideration into the quality of their water. The mouthfeel is great for a refreshing Munich Helles. Moderate light body with a crisp feel.
Not an incredibly complex beer, but I don't want Munich Helles to be bourbon barrel aged or have dozens of different layers. This is a great beer. Munich would be proud. Enough said.
