500ml bottle served slightly chilled in a nonic pint glass

Pours with a light amber body, slightly cloudy from the bottle conditioning. Thick dense slightly yellow head with good retention, some yeasty particles floating around in it. Some patches of lacing

Smell, rich yeasty malt, some fresh english aroma hop, a slight metallic tinge to it. Bready malt and a little bit of spice on the nose

Taste, crisp biting malt initally followed by some english hop bitterness. Very dry yeast character on the finish, seems to be a similar trait with most of their beers.

Yet another solid ale from the Breconshire brewery, just a bit dull all round though

A darkish coloured ale that sustains a reasonable white head.
Aromas are malty with a tinge of fruitiness.
The taste is dominated ,but not totally unpleasantly so by an astringency. It cuts in pretty early in the palate and hides most of the fruitiness associated with an English Bitter.
Not a great drink in an area where there are plenty of good examples ,it is quite drinkable all the same
