A: Poured a nice copper/amber color, with a light head that dissipated down to a thin line of bubbles.

S: Strong floral sweet smell with a hint of hop and barley.

T: A good balance of honey, malt, and hop bitterness at first. Has a strong malt and floral finish at the end, which to me really captures the flavor of the fireweed honey.

M: medium mouthful, with generous carbonation, that is easy to enjoy.

O:My favorite ascpect of this beer is the balance of sweet honey and hop bitterness. Have been hesitant to try this Blonde, because I generally do not enjoy this style of beer, but it was on sale at the local Leprakon grocery store in Moses Lake. Have to say I enjoyed this first taste and hope I can find more Rocky Coulee beer on the shelf next visit.

Thanks to Tyler for grabbing this on a recent trip to Spoklahoma. This beer is made with honey from the fireweed plant. I don't know what fireweed is, but this beer is OK.

Poured into 10oz glass. Poured a coppery-blonde color with a thin cap of just off-white head that had minimal retention and lacing. The aroma was nicely grainy, with a touch of sweetness, and just a light trace of hopping.

The taste is, again, mostly malt grains, with a little sweetness and gentle hopping. The body is nicely full without being heavy or sticky. Drinkability is very good, I could easily see pouring down a few of these while at the annual Combine demolition Derby (which this brewery supplies beer for their beer garden).

Overall, a very nice little beer from a brewery I just heard about for the first time about a month ago. I look forward to trying their othe rbrews.

12oz bottle purchased at Huckleberry's in Spokane for $1.39. First time I've seen anything bottled from this brewery.

Poured a hazy gold color, with a smallish white head that didn't hang around for long. Minimal, spotty lace. Lots of tiny bubbles can be seen hurtling skyward in the glass.

Grainy nose, with a mild honeyish sweetness in the background. Doesn't smell bad, but not terribly interesting, either.

The taste is similar to the smell. Definitely a malt beer, with nary a taste of hops. This is an earthy, mildly sweet tasting beer. While there is honey in the taste, it's not a terribly big sweetness.

Carbonation is about right for the style. This is a fairly crisp, light-bodied beer. Probably make a good warm weather beer.

Not a particulary complex or memorable beer, this would nevertheless work as a lawnmower beer on a hot day, and would be quaffable for your friends that fear beer with much in the way of color.

This one is on tap at the local bowling alley, so I dropped in to give it a review. They served this beer in a pint tumbler.

Pours a pale gold color with a thin white head. The beer is clear and not particularly bubbly. Thin head dissipates quickly. The head produces some lacing on the side of the glass while drinking.

The smell is medium strong, malty and sweet. There is a mild aroma of malted grain.

The taste is malty and sweet. There is a mild honey flavor, with a minimal hop presence. There is an earthy taste to the beer, probably from honey, and the flavor is well balanced, perhaps just a little heavy on the malt side of the equation. There is a very mild and mellow aftertaste. It’s a very pleasant tasting ale.

The mouth feel of this beer is light, crisp and thin. The beer has a thin feel, yet full-bodied taste.

This is a very drinkable beer. It would appeal to drinkers of macro-brews, which probably explains it’s presence in the bowling alley.
