This place is pricey, pricey, pricey, but boy is it good! Wow! Over 200 beers on tap!? Are you kidding me? THe atmosphere is amazing. Parked out in front when I went was a Bentley and a Ferrari, thats how Scottsdale is. THey even have an alphabetical checklist of beers that you can check off like an old baseball card. Ive been here 6 times and Im only on the F's. The food is great, Id recommend the calamari or artichoke. All in all this is one of the cooler venues around East Phoenix area. Make sure you wear your good clothes, this is a nice joint!

Visited late on a Sunday night after a terrible day of traveling from the east coast. I needed food and beer. Yard House was a welcome oasis.
A - Nice open, clean, well lit, but not too bright. I like the all metal bar top.
Q - No complaints.
S - I was literally the only person at the bar, so service was excellent. Had a good conversation with the bartender (Drew) about beer, politics, and back east. Food came quickly and as ordered.
S - Excellenet selection. Something for everyone.
F - I had the ribeye, with garlic mash potatoes and lightly sauted green beans. The manager warned me that he thought the ribeye could be cut better and that I should get the fillet. Not a fillet fan, went with the ribeye. My expectations were not steak house high. The steak was fine, considering all the yummy beer available. The green beans were actually the best part of the meal.
V -- At about $26 the steak was a little over priced for the quality.

Located in an upscale area of Phoenix in a mall. Well over 100 taps yet nothing unusual or hard to find. Like others, I'm concerned about how long the beer sits in a huge distance of lines. Tried a Papago beer that tasted nothing like it did at the brewery. Like most places I found in Phoenix, you really need to hit most places during happy hour to save big on drinks. This is not a destination but a place to visit when your options are limited. The food was upscale and pricey, yet overall quite good.

I've visited here a few times while out on business in Phoenix. The atmosphere was nice and the bar well set up. Just seeing all those taps so neatly lined up will bring a smile to your face.
Service was adequate. It was a busy night so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
The beer selection was well above average. I've been to places with lots of taps, only to find out most of them are dominated by macros. That wasn't the case here. Loads of craft brews, with a few West Coast offerings I can't find around here.
The food was very good and portions were of a decent size. It was a little expensive but worth it in the end.

Look it, I hate to come down on a place with such a massive tap, but I need to.
Clean your lines even if the keg hasn't been tapped yet.
They have an unrealistic selection of beers on tap here.
I say unrealistic because I saw Delerium Tremens come onto tap one week and not leave for 6 months. I am under the impression that, matched up to the other 99 beers they have on tap there, DT doesn't get much needle time, so that keg just sat there for six months. Not so bad until you consider that their cooler is on the other side of the fricken restaurant and all the lines run up the wall, across the roof and down to the taps.
I calculate there could be 2 gallons of beer in transit at anytime, and I don't know about you, but when I am about to pay 7 bucks for a brew I don't want the possibility of it chilling in 20 meters of plastic tubing for the last 10 days to be a possibility, only thing is it's the reality here.
I'm in to craft and places pumping it, but this place just went overkill grabbed everything they could on tap and left the craft out of it, which is making sure you do everything possible to give you the best tasting beer.
Food is good, pricey and a seems like apple bees that got famous and now rolls a lex instead of a pinto. Not the worst decision of a place to go, but if you do grab something that seems like it flows often or your taste buds will pay.

This place is a great place to try out. It is unbelievable how many draft beers they have. It really bothered me that they didn't have any flights and at 6 bucks a beer it was a bit of a disappointment I couldn't try them all. They have windows to their keg cooler which was quite a site. Almost interesting to see just how they run the lines to the kegs, yet alone the 200 kegs. The food is mediocre, but a bit better priced than the beers. I definitely recommend trying this one out, expecially if you would like to try some craft beers on draft.

I'm a little bit dismissive of the Scottsdale Fashion Square - not because I don't go there but precisely because it is the best shopping center in the Phoenix area. It has the air of monopoly and arrogance, and cleanliness that borders of sterility.
I would give the atmosphere a 4 if it were completely empty: lots of TVs, okay booths, uncomfortable tables, pretty decent patio that's relatively pleasant even in the hot months. But the crowd is pretty obnoxious and upper-crusty/trashy. The best place to sit is the patio, but this is A. where lots of annoying people sit, B. is not subject to the smoke-free restaurant ordinance, and C. is located about 50 feet from a valet-parking kiosk. And it's under a concrete roof, so the car noises are quite audible. Also, I've seen way too many people drinking glasses of wine or yards of Piss in a Glass beers to respect the clientele any more than I would that of Pink Taco, Z Tejas, or Kona Grill (in a purely beer-drinking sense here; I'm not that misanthropic).
The quality of the beer list is mitigated by the must-have Crap on Tap. Of the 100 or whatever taps there are plenty of passes; most fall under the category of "Okay But Not Something I'll Pay Money For Again". To further complicate the decision, some beers are starred, which means they are served in a goblet, obviously at a higher price. So going to the Yard House isn't necessarily an exercise in better beer drinking, which they would like to claim is the point of the huge tap list.
There's always one or two beers that I'm moderately interested in drinking. I have 660+ reviews here, so it's hard for me to find reviewable beers in many settings. There's often review fodder for me here, in the sense of having already reviewed a bottle but I can still review it On-Tap. Stuff like Gulden Draak, Old Crustacean, etc.
I've waited way too goddamn long just to get a water way too many times here - as in, I could have driven all the way home and got it from my sink as fast as the waitress brought it across the room. And don't even think about drunk driving here - booze as much as you want and then tell your server you're ready for a check. By the time your tab gets to the table you'll be sober as a judge.
The food is overpriced for the quality. I'm okay with the happy hour prices, but it's still a little greasy and doesn't quite fit a style. Kind of all over the map, with heavy Asian fusion leanings matched up against American Burger Joint. Again, not bad but pricey.
Basically it's a little disappointing that I can find the same number of beers that I want to try here as I can at Papago, with thirty lines. And the ones at Papago are always changing, and unique ales, while these are retreads I've never had on draft.

Was in Phoenix for my honeymoon this past week so me and the wife hit up the Scottsdale yard house before the D-Backs game based on reviews from here.
It was situated in somewhat of a mall area in which I found a parking spot fairly easy. Walking in to the right was a large round/oval bar with i'd say about 100-120 taps surrounding it. I was surprised that a place that houses 100+ taps could carry at least 60 crappy ones. Luckily being an east coaster i dont get to drink alot of the west coast breweries too often so it was all good.
I ended up going with a Lost Coast Alleycat Amber and a New Belgium 1554 and the bernaise sliders for an appetizer and the wife had a widmer drop top amber and paulaner hefeweizen and some kind of sushi plate which she liked. We made it in time for happy hour which was cool. All craft pints were 3.50 and appetizers were half price.
The bartenders were okay. nothing bad to say about them. The atmosphere was cool but i feel it attracts a different crowd at night time. I guess the only bad thing i have to say is they had about 20 tv's on and they were ALL on golf...come on, who really wants to watch golf on 20 televisions.. Anyway, Yard House was a cool place to grab a quick lunch.

My CouchSurfing hosts called me as I was returning from Chandler to find out where I was and where we might be able to meet. I then consulted my map and BeerFly lists as they listened to me read off cities and this was what we agreed upon. It was tucked away in the rear of the Scottsdale Fashion Square, so although I had the address, I initially overshot the place and had to double back.
Entering, the m.d.s. was to the immediate right with the long, oval-shaped, brushed aluminum (or steel)-topped bar at a right oblique. The back bar was an impressive oval-shaped, stainless steel collection of 130 total taps, although there were only 114 different ones with some duplication. The kitchen dominated the back left wall. Booths dominated the front wall while most of the seating in the center of the space was standard restaurant tables and chairs. Nathaniel was our server and I started off with a Four Peaks 8th Street Pale Ale, which I found not be doing it for me and I switched up.
