This beer came highly recommended by some close friends who are very knowledgeable about beer. It lived up to this reputation.
Appearance: the brew was dark amber with a white, one finger head that diminished to a ring and light lacing after a minute.
Smell: When it arrived, I noticed a floral, fruity nose, with almost berry-like hints
Taste: This was extraordinary for the style. Immediately, the malt comes to the fore and totally outpaces the hops, which seems unusual for a strong bitter. That said, theres a long finish and the hops bring up the rear with a splendid bitter finish. However, they recede on the palate short of the complex hop character in the same brewerys IPA.
Mouthfeel: Medium, crisp.
Drinkability: I think this is unusually drinkable for the style. I definitely could drink several of these in any weather.

Appearance The body was a nice, brownish-orange in color. I had this on-tap and the glass was filled so I really cant comment on the head, but what little there was pooled nicely.
Smell This one has a small but noticeable malt base and a subtle but distinctive piney hop kick.
Taste As fellow BA lubricated noted at the pub, this is more in between a Pale Ale and an IPA than it is a traditional bitter. There are some bitter notes, but mostly what I got is a sharp but very smooth hoppy profile with a modest malt compliment. Very good.
Mouthfeel This one was good and dry and probably medium in the body.
Drinkability This was a very entertaining beer and went well with the spicy Cajun food that I was having at the time.

(at brewpub) Hoppy and floral nose. Amber in color with a lacy white head. Hop flavors throughout with some underlying malt sweetness that helps bring the beer to a near perfect balance. Some citrus (pineapple) flavors, but they are very subdued.
