On tap in an imperial nonic pint. See-thru amber with a modest off-white head, but fairly good retention. A band of soapy lacing up above the 'bump' in the glass, little after that.
The aroma isn't so much malty as half-baked bread. A little doughy, a little puzzling. A bit of rye peeks through. Delivers better flavor than the nose promises, especially in the rye department. Moderately sweet malt, modestly juicy and tangy orange and tangerine hop flavors. The sluggish carbonation seems to be smothering what could be a lively brew otherwise. A rare dud from my favorite brewpub, but still pretty good.

quality rye! it's not just for summer anymore!
playing some darts at the lucky lab, i had this sexy lil fella on tap. i mean, i think it's sexy. sexy to me, in a fella, is a good sense of humor, am i right? this lil copper fella had that distinctive rye spiciness with a little residual sweetness and slight floral hop to it. but i couldn't smell it real well because of all the noise. i'm pretty sure we lost the darts game. but we won. getting to share some homebrews with new homebrewers is always fun. extra point is good!

This is a summer seasonal ale that uses malted rye giving the ale its unique flavor that is complimented with a little light hopping. It is an excellent beer at an exceptional location (Portland, Oregon) that allows your dog to accompany you for lunch.
