My favorite American pale and it's made in Australia. Light a little fruity. Good on a hot day.

From bottle, Deep gold with orange tinge. off white head. aromas of citrus, slight pine needles and malt. Very dry mouthfeel. Very enjoyable and worth a try.

330 ml bottle poured in Pint glass.
Nice retro/minimalist look label.
Look: Pours a cloudy mid-amber with half a finger of head which dissipates quickly.
plenty of visible carbonation.
Smell: a not over powering citrus. Smells good.
Taste: smooth. citrus straight up. a hint of rock mellon and biscuit but not a lot of after taste.
not cloying which is good.
refreshing. an easy all night drinker.
Feel: very crisp with a smooth, silky finish as it makes its way over your tongue. Enjoyable.
Overall: great citrus smell with a great citrus flavor to follow.
Very refreshing so a great summer ale although I'm drinking it in winter and its still just as nice. Definitely buy again.

Bottle: a tall 330mL solid brown bottle with a pretty cool retro label. I like the name too.
Appearance: pours a mid-amber in colour with plenty of visible carbonation. A one-finger white head fizzes away to a thin cap.
Aroma: a pleasant citrus aroma with light biscuit malt and cereals. Decent.
Taste: pretty much follows the nose. Citrus, cereals, biscuit malts with a touch of caramel. Not mind-blowing, but a really nice all-round and refreshing beer.
Aftertaste: lingers for a time before dropping away - lucky this one is so sessional.
Mouth feel: light- to-moderate in feel with a moderate- to-high fine carbonation. Nice.
Overall: a great all-round pale ale. Not massively complex, but good quality citrus, cereal and biscuit malts. Great for a price of AU$45 a case of 24 x 330mL bottles (2014). Fantastic value.

Bottled beer served in a glass.
Appearance -
Copper colour and clear. No visible carbonation with a moderate head when poured, which dissipates quickly to leave a thin residue.
Smell -
Hints of pine and floral characteristics. A weak aroma.
Taste -
Clean, dry and straightforward. It initially has a biscuit-malty characteristic with a hint of yeast . Finishes slightly bitter with grapefruit notes, and the hops are the most noticeable flavour. It has a slightly metallic aftertaste which doesn't stick around for long. This beer doesn't have a lot of complexity and its flavours are quite subdued overall.
Mouthfeel -
On the lifeless side. It has a slight tingle and a little bit of bite when swallowed, but on the flat side compared to other beers. Swishing it around doesn't result in any extra zing, but it will froth slightly. Watery texture.
Overall -
The old man bought a carton of this to try as an everyday beer, to see if we could do any better than Coopers Pale Ale at the lower end of the price scale. I can see this being visitor friendly beer; it has a clean but mild taste, is on the easy to drink side of beers and a cold one is quite refreshing on a warm day. It also doesn't sit in the stomach as heavily as some other beers. However, I'll take the Coopers over this still any day since it has more personality. The Atomic APA is quite a subdued and safe beer; nothing about it really stood out at me and I found myself struggling to pick out its characteristics as its aroma and taste is on the weak side. It tastes fine and fresh, but lacks personality.
Note: Have this one out of a glass. I found it too doughy straight out of the bottle.

Not too bad, for me, if they could fine tune the flavor some, that would vastly improve the beer. Poured at a good temperature with a thick, stable, off-white head and some lace. Color is a clear honey amber with some bubble trails. Aroma is fresh beer with malt and mild hop and toffee. Flavor's like nose, but some harsh mineral qualities and medicinal show up. Body and carbonation are good. Finish is like flavor and unfortunately the bad flavors tend to linger.
