Appearance is slightly dull golden color. Very fizzy with a thin head.
Smell of bread with a tad bit of sweetness.
Nice taste of bready malts and a slight hop to it. The hops taste very European. As the taste is, the hops are from Czech giving this lager a taste somewhat like Pilsner Urquel.
Very crisp mouthfeel. Almost sharp on the tongue.
Very refreshing beer. Nice taste for a lager.

Pale golden yellow body, whispy thick... three-finger head forms a donut in its center(?)... sparkling and effervescent... fresh, almost fruity with a strong pilsner maltiness--pleasant... light, crisp with a floursih of effervescence around the tongue--mellow and balanced... tough to place its taste: a citiric burst with a malty base and a yeasty finish make this engaging yet something of an anomaly to its purported style... as with Cooper's, Barons seems to have something in its water that brings it to life--not your average lager (or ESB, or pale ale!)... I could hammer these in the summer sun or sip them by the winter fire--versatile if not worthwhile... i see I am in the minority of this beer's opinion.... a Christmas gift I won't look in the mouth!

11.2oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a golden orange color with a white head that possesses pretty decent retention and lacing qualities. The clean lager aroma features some slightly biscuity malt and just a hint of hops. The taste consists of slightly toasted biscuity malts with a subtle yet spicy hop finish. Overall, this is pretty much exactly what I am looking for in a lager. Clean, refreshing, and some flavor. I would definitely consider purchasing this again. Recommended.

Pours a crystal clear straw color, a shade darker than Bud, with an average white head that dissipates fairly quick. The smell has a bready/cracker like maltiness and has a hint of the Saaz hop spiciness, nothing very distinct. The taste is fairly light, slightly bready malt with a hint of spicy hop. The feel is moderately bodied, not overly carbonated, overall pretty balanced beer. A good beer nothing fantastic, pretty light and refreshing for a humid summer day.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear dark gold with a medium white head that recedes quickly. Smells of sweet, grainy malt and faint grassy hops. Taste is weighted towards honey-like malt. Light hop flavor towards the end with mild bitterness. Moderate body. Nice lager.

Pours golden amber with a small fading head.
Aroma is pretty grainy and shows minimal hops.
Flavours include lots of grainy malt and grassy, fruity hops, some banana, but all quite faint. Finishes with a metallic bitterness.
Carbonation is over the top.

Picked-up at Perfect Pour in Columbia, MD (one of the best beer stores in Maryland, by the way). Nice hazy golden color, decent head retention. Smell is mild hops, with a lot of fruity (lip smacking, mouth watering) hops in the first sip. Rather well balanced, but definitely a session beer. Quite drinkable. Worth trying.

Pours a cloudy light gold color with a decent amount of foamy white head that takes a while to fade and clings to the glass all the way down. I'm smelling some yeast, and some noble hops (the saaz mentioned on the label, probably) and a little grassiness, not bad at all. The taste is fairly clean, but lightly malty and just as lightly hoppy, very balanced and pleasant. Mouthfeel is light and pretty creamy. Overall, it's a very drinkable, and so far tonight, Barons is 3 for 3 with me. I'll be looking for more of their beers.

Dull bronze with a tight white head that quickly fades to a skim of foam and leaves fine lace on the glass. Toasted grain and herbal hops in the nose. Lightly toasted grain and earthy hops make for a nicely balanced flavor. Barley malt is the dominant flavor component and kind of reminds me of grape-nut cereal...in a good way. Full bodied and creamy. Not a bad Aussie brew.

Pours a predominantly golden color with some amber tinges, topped by a thin white head that leaves a bit of lace. Aromas are of thick, juicy grain notes that carry a tinge of sweetness. Think bread and marmalade, or even a toned down version of marmite. On the palate, this beer is pretty robust for a helles, maybe too much so: the middle of the palate is just a tad too sweet and mouthfilling, although the hops do reassert themselves in the second half as the beer regains balance. Overall, this is nothing revelatory, but it is a decent beer -- a flavorful, medium-heavy lager with solid flavors. Decent execution all around.

Single, twelve-ounce bottle just copped from Gary's in Madison...
Pours a clear, lucid, light-golden hue with a very minimal head that rapidly receded and deposited a very thin film of lacing around the edge of the serving glass...
Uncharacteristically strong and assertive lager aroma replete with a raw earthiness, bread, and butter...
Taste strongly paid homage to the aroma, very crisp and refreshing along with a unique earthy flavor...
Good mouthfeel, along with an equally good level of drinkability...
Nothing above and beyond, yet still a decent stab at the style...

Deep golden colour, large thick white head. Good aroma, mainlly malty with a nice grassy whiff of hops. Malty flavour, not too sweet though, some hopping noticed at end. Palate is acceptable for style and I like the fact it isnt "fizzy". Overall a nice enough beer

Has a one finger thick white crown, with decent retention. The body is dark amber, and is quite hazy.
Aroma is a bit hard to pick out. It's a little husky, and grainy, but that's about it.
The taste is a little on the dry cracker side, with the yeast giving it a powdery feeling.

This pours a dark golden colour. Clear. A slight head which drops away to minimal retention.
Bready aromas up front with some florals at the back.
Great whack of malts up front but this dies quickly. Disappointed with the follow up spiciness. It does not have the same impact.
I could knock back a few of these.

I have turned into a bit of a Baron fan...
Firstly, appearance is a slightly darkish gold, poured with no glass tilt to get a nice head. Head quickly disappeared but some slight lacing, & carbonation. Quite cloudy (although this batch was past its useby)
Aroma is a little malty & sweet, though not a strong aroma.
Taste was the exciting part (as usual), I found it to be very sweet (nice sweet, not sickly sweet). Darker malts were present...with a little hoppy bitterness that linger a little more than their ESB.
Mouthfeel was also very nice, with lively carbonation on the tongue leaving it not too heavy.
A very smooth lager...enjoyed poured into a pilsner glass.

Looks the part of a thirst quenching lager. Light orangey, amber with a tidy white head. Just a touch of malt action on the nose with a hint of lemon. Drinks fine with mild bitterness and a slight malty backbone. Better than most macros but nothing to go out of your way for.

A: Hazy yellow with minimal head and lacing.
S: Sweet malt with a good bit of bread in the background.
T: This one is mildly sweet starting out. The finish is quite interesting for me. You get a quick sweet malt then finishes with a huge citrus smack at the end. A small amount of metallic aftertaste at the very very end though.
This was an interesting beer, and I enjoyed this one quite a bit. It has a pleasant aroma with a nice crisp taste. I could buy a case of these for the summer months.

Pours a clear, golden color. One inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of pale malt, sweet malt, yeast, slight hops, and some grain. Fits the style of a Munich Helles Lager. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of pale malt, pale hops, yeast, and slight sweet malt. Overall, a crisp, full-bodied, easy drinking lager. Makes a good transition beer for those who only drink light lagers.

a. Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a clean glass.Semi hazy, wheat like appearance with nice froth.
S. Bready, doughy yeast and some noble saaz-ish hop in the aroma, malts subdued.
T. A nice mix here. Roasted grain, scottish style malting and a light lemony hop. Slight mineral/metallic edge. Robust and flavorful, very well done.
M. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, smooth and lends one to long for another sip.
D. Possibly the best Vienna style lager Ive come across. Wish I had more than one bottle, this beer beckons for extended sessioning.

Poured into a large Schneiden Weisse glass. A nice golden color, with a one finger head with a full retention. The smell of sweet malts, and a bread like component. The taste is what impressed me with this surprising brew, dried banana chips, with a hint of vanilla, some caramel notes, with a marshmallow ghost, finishing with a somwhat dry, astringent finish. Just the right carbonation to set you up for the next sip. A lot of "bang for the buck" for this type of beer. One of the best largers I've ever had. A class act!

S - It smelled of burnt toast malt with a subtle grassy aroma.
T - It tasted spicy and sweet. Nice balance of sweet maltiness and some light hops.
M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A light to medium-bodied beer.
D - This is a nice Munich Helles lager. Very drinkable and quite sessionable.

Poured a slightly hazy dull golden color with masive white chunky head.
Smell is very light with a hint of floral aspects.
Taste is refreshingly malty combined with a nice hop bitterness at the finish, which become stronger with each subsequent mouthfull.
A pleasant suprise. This is a nice lager beer with a good taste profile.
