This founding location of the growing brewpub chain is exactly what you would expect from a quality brewpub...a nice, comfortable, low-key building with a good, laidback, beer-drinking crowd. The only detracting factor is the high concentration of college kids from nearby Princeton University. The overall quality of the beer is good, with standouts in the form of the Bengali IPA (A), the Oatmeal Stout (A-), and the Amber Ale (A-). Furthermore, the brewers try to rotate in new beers every so often, making the selection a constantly-evolving project. Every meal that I have had at not only this location, but at the other locations, has been done extremely well, and the service has always been both knowledgeable and friendly. Good bang for the buck.

I've been going to Triumph for the better part of the last 15 years.

The beer selection hasn't changed much (Bengal Gold, Honey Blonde, Amber Ale, a rotating Stout) and the quality is steadfast.

The food is now geared towards the Princeton U. Hipsters with a more "farm to table" vibe... although I doubt very much of it is sourced locally.

Prices have gone up over the years... mostly as a reflection of the locale.

If hanging out, grabbing an expensive app, and an okay beer is your goal... Triumph-Princeton is your spot.

If you want great beer and locally farmed foods at a bargain of a price... Triumph-New Hope is the better bet.

When in Princeton, this brewery pub is a great watering hole. A pioneer.

Nice architecture, friendly people and staff, high ceilings, pleasant and reasonable food and beer selection. Easy to do small plates as well as dinner. Recommended. Their beers are very good, not great, a bit tame, but their stouts and IPAs rock into the 4+ category.

Try their generous 6 taste sampler flight!
