Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – Served a hazy orange amber color with a small head of white foam floating atop the brew. The head fades rather fast leaving a lighter level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of some honey and a bit of a grainy smell. Along with these smells are some caramel and citrusy aromas of grapefruit and some orange. Overall very mild and light.

Taste – The taste of the beer begins with a rather crisp and smooth bready taste with hints of a caramel and honey sweetness and a lighter hop flavor of a grapefruit nature. The grapefruit grows stronger as the flavor moves onto the end becoming the predominant hop flavor of the brew. The grapefruit never gets too overpowering however, always staying in pace with the malty flavors of the brew. The malty flavors upfront are of a more bready flavor transition to a more grainy like flavor with a bit of a hay-like flavor more toward the end of the taste. With a little bit of a grassy and herbal flavor also joining the taste at the end, one is left with a crisp but somewhat citrusy and grainy flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness, creaminess, and carbonation for a brew of 5.2 % abv. It balances the citrus and grainy flavors of beer nicely and makes for a rather refreshing brew overall.

Overall - A rather refreshing beer for the most part. I am glad however that I tried it on tap as I paid $ 5.00 for a pint, where if getting a bottle I would have been rather disappointed at spending ~ $12 for a “lighter” beer of its nature. Refreshing and nice but not worth the big price tag for a bottle. Try it on tap if you get the chance.

750ml bottle at 41 F poured into a pair of chalices. No date or bottle codes that I can find.

Pours slightly cloudy, ambery/orange, smallish head, some fine carbonation. Smell is mild, very little to say about it.

Taste is pretty mild, but it's a blonde I suppose. I think it's richer and more interesting than most blondes I've tried. Somewhat bready, slightly citrus.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, not sticky. Overall, not bad.

With its roots burred deep within the loins of Rogue's history, every now and then their Integrity Ale rears its beautiful head. And for their 25th Anniversary, the occasion presents itself!

As the exuberent ale pours, it does so with a solid gold color and a light haze that saturates its glimmer of gold. Perhaps strewed as straw or hay-like, the ale casts a frothy eggshell white foam that caps the beer with confidence from sip 'til finish and laces the glass with broken rings along the way.

Its aromatics are a soft blend of honey and fresh baking bread to start. But its bouquet really opens up as orange blossom, honeysuckle and citrus notes command the nose. Yet heading into taste, its straw and herbal hop portrayal adds earthy tones.

Its taste is alive with the citrus and straw flavors as both hops and grain play a major role in the beer's start. Light cracker-like crispness leads to a quick citrus, herbal, floral bit that opens up with pink grapefruit, orange zest, straw, lemongrass, coriander and tea leaf before heading head-first into a pithy bitter finish with an aftertaste of lemon leaf and citrus peel.

Its mid-light body kicks off mild starch and grain. Yet its carbonation carries away much of its maltiness as the ale quickly favors biting vegetative bitterness and skim alcohol dryness.

This ale really harkens to time when brewers like Rogue established their origins. These are fantastic beers that simply get lost in the flavor spread that is today's craft beer scene. Thanks for a trip down Memory Lane, Rogue!

750 ml bottle into signature pint glass; no bottle dating, but was a recent release. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, grape, honey, biscuit, cracker, floral, grass, and herbal earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of hop, malt, and fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, grape, honey, biscuit, cracker, floral, grass, and herbal earthiness. Minimal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, grape, honey, biscuit, cracker, floral, grass, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of malt, hop, and fruity yeast flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, bready, and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good blonde ale. All around good balance and robustness of hop, malt, and fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
