Had on-tap at Barleycorn Asheville. Served in a snifter.
A- Pours a dark amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains decently before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a full sheet of sheer surface foam. Not-so-resilient lacing leaves a thin jagged ring behind.
S- Earthy, herbal hop aroma with some cereal grain sweetness behind it. Slightly musty.
T- The hops hit you with some juicy citrus but then morph toward a more grassy finish and a considerable amount of bitterness. Actually the bitterness sinks in more and more with every sip but it's complementary to the rest of the flavors especial with the sturdy malt backbone.
M- Sharp and oily from the hops. Medium carbonation and a fullish body.
O- Haven't had a Rogue beer in a while but this one's quite good I must say.

Pours orange with a fading large head.
Nose shows copious amounts of sweet clean malt, pine and resin. Quite nice in terms of the malt character.
Very similar flavours, very malty but still quite clean. Gets piny along with some resinous hops followed by a sharp, abrasive bitterness.
Could use some more carbonation.
