A: Pours golden copper with hints of orange and yellow. A semi-aggressive pour provides a frothy half inch of foamy off-white head and a flurry of carbonation that quickly subsides to tiny, intermittent bubbles. As the head subsides, some residual lacing can be found on the glass. Looks drinkable and delicious.
S: The aroma isn't very potent, but it comes through predominantly sweet and floral with an underlying earthiness. Honestly, the malts come through more in the nose than the hops for me. Not necessarily a bad thing, but unexpected from a seven hop beer.
T: Hits hard up front with a full spectrum of hop flavors: floral, citrus, pine and an increasing spiciness that burns into an alcohol astringency as the brew lingers on the tongue. The malts come in towards the middle to balance things out with toasted buiscuit and toffee. Finishes dry with grapefruit rinds, a trace amount of alcohol and some cloying sweetness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate but lively carbonation. There's some oiliness from the hops, but it feels a bit thin. At 8% ABV it remains quite drinkable, but I'd probably steer clear of having more than a bottle or two.
O: Overall another solid showing from Rogue, but nothing spectacular. It came off a lot more balanced than I had anticipated and if not for the style I wouldn't have minded that at all. The highlight of this brew for me was the plethora of hop flavors that came through on the palate. I probably won't seek this out again but it did not dissapoint.

Pours orange with a fading large head.
Nose shows copious amounts of sweet clean malt, pine and resin. Quite nice in terms of the malt character.
Very similar flavours, very malty but still quite clean. Gets piny along with some resinous hops followed by a sharp, abrasive bitterness.
Could use some more carbonation.
