Pours an amazingly clear amber color with a nice tan head that leaves very good lace. The aroma is strongly of hops and a moderately roasted malt...very roasty aroma overall...maybe even a little bright. The taste is very much of hops and pine. It has a medium body and an extremely dry finish (this really accentuates the pine flavor). The pine taste suits this Christmas/ Santa beer perfectly. Some breweries tend to just make holiday seasonal beers, but Rogue went a step further and really stuck to the theme. The only downside is that I wish it had a bit of a higher ABV in order to "warm you up" in the cold winter...which it doesn't.
Overall, awesome brew...way to go Rogue!
