Pours a beautiful ruby amber with a frothy cream head with good retention and lacing.
There is a citrusy hoppiness at the front of the nose, mellowed by some bready malts.
This is not nearly as hoppy tasting as it smells. There is a muted sweetness, blunted at the front, but carrying through, with caramel and tangerine in the middle. A little honey maybe? Balanced at the end with just enough hops to leave that dry finish.
Well constructed and eminently drinkable. I would have a hard time classifying it per se, but whatever it is it is something I enjoy drinking, so there's that.
