(From old, undated notes. Drank on draft.)
Clear yellow color.
Small off-white head; no lace.
Corn nose.
Thin mouthfeel.
Corn in the taste; macro lager-ish to be honest. Smack of hops on the lips.
Boring and disappointing.

On tap at Rogue Brewer's on the Bay
A: Pours fairly clear golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves some spotty lacing.
S: Floral, slight spicy herbal notes, wheat twang, maybe a bit bready, a touch of sweetness, and faint DMS.
T: Super floral, rose petals definitely let you know they're in there, a little spicy herbal notes, fun esters and phenols, wheat twang, a bit bready, and a touch of sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Tough to call it a true hef, but as just a pale wheat with rose petals it's a cool enjoyable brew.

Draft at PreFunk. Very disappointing when compared to a real german weizen. Slight floral essence to what is a weak kristallweizen. I expected better from Rogue...

Poured from a bomber into a 1 oz. ale glass. Minimal head, about 1 to 1 1/2 fingers. Quick dissipation. Minimal lacing. Clear golden color. Very appealing taste but a tad off from a typical hefeweizen.

Poured into a small glass: color is gold, head is white with mostly fine bubbles and presents about 1/2 inch thick.
Smell is way clean and hardly any malt or bread character - now its not bad or off putting but it just doesnt have any clove/banana punch or even breadiness.
Taste is fairly clean, touch of banana, very understated though, malts are more noticeable with some biscuit and bread. Not a hefe like flavor but still good tasting, this is an american wheat beer all the way.
Mouthfeel is a little dry with some noticeable pronounced fullness in character and presence.
Overall this is a good beer, but it is not a hefe. I don't pick up any rose water notes.

This is not a hef....
The pour even aggressive creates va good inch or two a head, which is WAY off for the style. The body is nearly crystal clear...just way off for the style. This doesn't remotely look like a hef.
The nose has some banana and clove, but there is a bitter citrus hoppy like note that actually dominates.
The flavor is more the same. Bitter in a way like an ipa with some clove and banana.
The mouth feel is very clean and crisp which again is off the style. Still some weight here but not enough.
Honestly this is NOT a hef, don't even for a second assume that. It's not bad but the style is so far off that I have to take points off just for that. More points should go off for the price, about 6 bucks for a bomber of 4.8% non special beer.
Pass unless you love rose petals.

Appearance- Hazy yellow with almost no head to speak of.
Smell-Hay and citrus (orange mostly). None of the clove or banana smell you expect in a hefeweizen.
Taste- Follows the nose. I was hoping that there would be some of the banana and clove that I couldn't smell but it is just absent.
Mouthfeel- Thin and medium carbonation.
Not a bad beer, but not a great hefeweizen which is surprising given the brewery.
