This is the third session in a row where me and a few buddies had a great line-up of beers to drink and we always start with a different imperial pilsner. We have tried the DFH Golden Shower, Shorts Brewing Company - the Curl, and this one, Morimoto signature imperial pilsner. I think this one was the best of the three.
It pours in hazy golden yellow with a frothy white head. There was some nice lacing going on.
This one actually smelled like a pilsner. There is a corn presence with some mild hop aroma.
The flavor of this one was pleasant. It was a dense ration of pilsner malt but was very well balanced with the hops. Basically a souped up pilsner with nothing lost in the translation.
The mouthfeel was medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
I thought this was very drinkable. It was enjoyed by all.
