Had this on tap in Rogue in SF, after a recommendation by the barmaid, and was pretty pleased.
The 'nectar' had a lovely warm brown colour to it, similar to weak coffee. The carbonation looked so-so, and the head was really nonexsistant, but I'm okay with that on a brown. The aroma was really nice:infused with a sweet caramel nose. I loved the taste because it was more complex than the average nut brown ale. The beer was sweet to start but then very malty with characteristic roasted, nutty flavor, and also it was slightly resiny. The finish ,which was a bit roasty, was mellow. The mouthfeel was light, and pleasantly seltzery-just enough, and also characteristic of most browns.
As far as drinkability goes, its a very very good brown, in my opinion and I'd definitely recommend it to people who enjoy this type of beer.

Pours a nice brown with a thick head. I for the life of me can't detect any hazelnut smell at all. Although the taste is good for a brown ale I can't detect any hazelnut taste or flavor at all. Although it's highly rated here I'm not sure why. The big letdown for me is the lack of any hazelnut.
