22 oz bomber bottle. Poured a dark brown to black with brown edges, I guess it depends on the light. Could be all black or just dark brown. Head a full, dense, dark khaki color. Very thick and full head. Nice hints of halzelnut, chocolate, and rogue air that I call it. I think it's the house yeast, whatever it is, all rogues have it.
Taste is super smooth, rich full chocolate, and nutty sweet carmel flavors. Sidewinding shots of hops, and that rogue flavor finishes up. I was afraid the hazelnut would either fade too much, or overpour but stayed true throughout. Easy drink, very good throughout, another winner from Rogue. Not sure what the difference between this one and the Hanzelnut Brown Nectar is, I had a couple years ago.

12 oz bottle was poured into a shaker glass at Parish Cafe on Boylston.

Appearance: This beer poured a one finger whitish brown head that reduced to a thin layer. It is an amber brown color with some vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Toasted malts, roasted, hazelnut, a little chocolate, and some sweetness.

Taste: Hazelnut, toasted, chocolate, some sweetness, mild bitterness, and earthy notes..

Mouthfeel: Smooth, a little chewy, light to medium bodied, low to medium carbonation, and slight bitterness.

Overall: Awesome brown ale. Will be enjoying this one again in the near future.
