Brown in color with a 1" head. The aroma is full of hazelnuts and malt. The flavor has several components that were nicely balanced: malt, hazelnut, caramel, lite bitterness, and a hint of bitter chocolate. Medium bodied.

The mouthfeel was smooth. Dry finish and the nutty flavor lingers on the tongue. Nicely drinkable and quite enjoyable.

A- Poured a dark mahogany color with a very thick head that stuck around quite well.

S- Definitely hits hard with the hazelnut, I'm guessing it's some type of extract. Plenty of sweet cake batter and pound cake in there.

T- Plenty of that hazelnut again as you'd guess plus a toffee flavor up front. From there I get some malted milk which is different, but not overpowering. Finishes up surprisingly dry with some basic herbal hops, didn't catch them in the aroma but they balance it out pretty well.

M- Thin to medium bodied, but plenty smooth.

D- It drinks as advertised, a nice nutty brown ale with plenty of sweetness. It's as easy to drink as you'll get, but one pint was enough due to the extreme aroma and sweet taste of the hazelnut.

on tap at the Tremont Tap house, poured into a oversized wine glass

a: translicent medium brown color, nice creamy off white head

s: roasted barrly gives off slight coffee aroma, also has a nice nut aroma

t: nice mixture of hazelnut, and roasted/ carmalized malt. hint of coholate and slight fruit. Big on sweetness.

m&d: light mouthfeel, just creamy to the palate. Excellent Beer!

Cheers!!!

A- Pours a soapy looking 2 finger head on top of a ruby brown body. No sediment is present. After about a minute the head recedes down to a thin cap. No lacing is present.

S- Big hazelnut on the nose, with some nice baking chocolate, toasty grains and more hazelnut. Yum. Not terribly complex but I do like the hazelnut.

T- Starts off with a nice hazelnut, a slight tart note, then some nice light chocolate, finishing with a nice long hazelnut note. Again, not terribly complex, but nice.

M- Carbonation is pretty good but can be a touch much in spots. The hazelnut finish is great.

D- Haven't really had this kind of hazelnut in a beer before so that's unique. At 6.2% it's not terribly sessionable, but I could maybe have it again.

Bomber poured into a tall pilsner glass.

This one pours a nice light brown. I got 3 fingers of tan head that is nice and foamy. The head leaves a moderate lacing as it dissipates down to a finger's worth.

I get a nice sweet malty aroma with hints of caramel and nuts, and undertones of alcohol.

The taste is also sweet and malty, with a definite alcohol finish. There is really no hop flavor or bitterness that I can perceive. The lingering taste in my mouth after a sip is malts.

This beer has a smooth and creamy mouthfeel with minimal carbonation but it's definitely there.

This is an interesting take on the style, though the hazelnut is not very present in my opinion. Very drinkable nonetheless. I could see hitting another bomber after this if I had one.

Oh and the guy on the bottle looks just like my brother.
