Pours a dark brown maple color with a tan head. Smells sweet with syrup and hazelnut, not too much else except sweet notes. Taste is similar, a light body, good carbonation. A very sweet nut brown with some malty aftertaste. The mouthfeel has a good balance of taste, carbonation, and smell. A well rounded beer that is very easy to drink. I would recommend this to all, especiall nut brown lovers, this is a good beer. Enjoy.

From notes

Glass - Sam Adams perfect pint

A - pours a very nice clear deep brown with some ruby tints. Fairly long lasting off white head.

S - toasty caramel malts. A light nuttyness. Some mild spicy hop presance.

T - toasty malts are at the forefront of this brew. Followed by a mild hazelnut flavor. Some light hop bitterness, a mild acidity, and some alcohol warming round it out to a nice dry finish.

M - very smooth. Medium bodied. Medium high carbonation.

D - easy drinking ale. Complex and flavorful but not over powering in the least. Solid brew.

Pours a clear brown with medium lasting tan head. Aroma and Taste of sweet hazelnut, nocciolo, yeast some caramel malt, and nice chocolaty under tones with mild bitterness. Palate is a nice balance of sweetness with a bit of creamy and smooth mouth feel, with moderate carbonation. Finish is a nice sweet hazelnut, nocciolo flavor with a bit of chocolate malt and light bitterness. Overall a nicely balanced flavorful and enjoyable brew.

This bomber pours a deep brown amber with a tan head that recedes to a decent lace.

Malty and sweet to the nose, with some roasty chocolate.

The flavor is initially pleasant with a nutty roastiness. I suppose hazelnut. Besides that it is ridiculously sweet. Now I'm a sucker for a decadent, dessert-like brew; but this is not so much decadent sweet but rather sickeningly Hershey's syrup sweet. Don't get me wrong, it's got a decent taste but far too syrupy sweet.

The texture it much the same. Very syrupy and thick (especially when let to sit and warm up a bit). Worth a try, but certainly not Rogue’s best effort.

Hazed dark brown in color. Some sediment at the bottom. Creamy tan head that stayed well.
Roasted malt aroma with cocoa and coffee.

The taste seems to come in 3 distinct phases. First a smooth, sweet, very nutty malt phase. Then an onslaught of mouth-puckering bitterness. Finally after the finish comes a pleasing hazlenut coffee and cocoa flavor that lingers on the palate for some time. Quite an interesting beer to drink.

Good body and mouthfeel with slight creaminess.
Drinkability set back a notch due to the bitter 2nd phase of the tasting experience.

The hazelnut extract really shows. Overall this beer is quite nutty and also coffee-like. If you're into hazelnut coffee this one is a must find.

22oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

A - a nice medium shaded brown (not as dark as most which is nice). good finger and a half of fluffy slighty browned head sits on top and just stays put. laces very well down the glass.

S - big notes of cream and nuts with coffee in the back as well. well that pretty much sums up exactly what they were going for with the name.

T - the coffee and nut tastes are a lot more subdued than the nose led me to believe. they are definitely there and taste great but i was expecting them to be overpowering and they are not. some caramel notes in there as well. its a very good brown ale no doubt about that.

M - medium bodied with lots of carbonation. the one main issue i have with it is it feels a bit watered down overall.

O - this is one fine brown ale and definitely worth checking out. its everything it says it will be.

Pours translucent reddish-brown with very little head and very little lacing.

Smell is hazlenut, molasses and biscuit breadiness. Very impressive.

Taste follows smell with hazlenut, molasses and brown sugar. Malty breadiness prevents it from being too sweet. Very faint citrus tart on the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation.

Smell is incredible. Like Honey Nut Cheerios on steroids. Tastes almost as good as the smell. An impressive brown ale.

This brew pours a creamy small head of light brown bubbles and a semi transparent dark brown body. With a mild malt aroma, this brew has a taste of caramel and spice with just a hint of coffee flavoring. It goes down very smoothly yet leaves a slight dry lingering after taste of the coffee flavoring.
