Excellent light brown head with dimples and BLACK body for the appearance.
Smell: Clean, portery?, bit sour, slight sweetness, french roast coffee- good
Taste: Very crisp, dark as hell, smooth, medium thin mouthfeel, bitter, sour. I like it.
Mouthfeel - just right - medium thin. Kinda creamy. Bitterness stays on the tongue for a while leaving soft of a grainy bite.
Drinkability- Very good - I imagine I would drink this all night if I was at a party and just wanted a dark, 'mystical' beer. Perfect compliment to trippy music.
LIke black hook by redhook but actually good. Right on the mark for a porter. It just seems like a damn good porter. This is now one of my two favorite porters. Definitely an equal to the other though.
