A - Mud brown, nearly opaque. Above average amounts of carbonation with little lacing and a solid 1 finger head.
S - Faint smell of chocolate malt and coffee.
T - Definate coffee taste with hints of what could be considered mocha. This Mocha porter could be confused with a thin cappuccino or espresso stout. The taste isn't offensively bitter but it could be considered by some to be borderline harsh. The finish has a strange essence about it, evocative of some form of creamy caramel. The taste of alcohol is hidden somewhat well.
M - Clean and dry leaving little to no aftertaste. This brew seems a tad thin.
D - Drinkability is good; though, once again, Rouge brews are a little too expensive.
If it wasn't made by Rouge and was less expensive, this brew would have recieved higher marks. This is mainly because I feel that this beer is simply not up to par with their other products. All in all, the beer is good but not great.
