Pours out fairly black with a tan head. To be honest my wife is asleep so I can't turn the lights up to check the highlights...aahhh the life of a BA. Aroma of bitter coffee and some sweet milk chocolate, backed by a health dose of some rogue style hoppiness. Taste starts off sweet, with a malted milkshake and cappuccino taste. Suddenly, the hops take over like highjacking islam radicals. These are merciful radicals, as the creaminess seems to mesh with the hop presence and roasted malts in the aftertaste. The initial creamy taste is great but doesn't last long enough for my pallette. Carbonated yet slightly creamy in mouthfeel, and quite drinkable for a thick porter.
Not bad at all, pick this one up if you enjoy porters and hops
