I had Rogue Sharktooth Ale, which BA forwards to this beer.
A - Fluffy head poured out over the glass... OOPS was not expecting that but quickly lost ist composure. Left very little lacing but what was there was extremely bubbly and foamy. The beer was a hazy golden straw.
S - WOW!!!! What a great scent profile. Malty with a sweet corriander and ginger scent. Smelt great... Cannot wait to drink!
T - Great malty flavor and the spices are right on! A bit of the bitterness from the hops and the spicy ginger and corriander finish it off! Great new flavor combo for me.
M - Great balanced beer and good carbonation to it.
D - Definately a spiced beer but for me, I thought this was great. It really suprised me becasue I was not expecting it and normally am not a fan of such beers. If you can find it... Shark tooth or whatever, I think it is worth a try.

Light golden in color with a medium level of haze and cloudiness to it that obscured a bit of the sunlight poking through. Nice head of white capped the top and settled down smoothly and evenly, creating a decent broken crown that ringed the side of the glass and kept some nice lacing. Aroma was light, and this would be a trend throughout the day. Light notes of peach and light grain are really all that is coming through right now. Warming brought a smidge of citrus to it, but nothing really standing out here for me at all. Crisp, clean flavor though with light hints of clove and heather that sat on top of a base that resembled mostly light fruits and hints of grain

This brew wasn't too bad. It pours out as a very light yellow color with a billowing head on it. The aroma was of grains and some light citrus. The taste was on the light side, not a whole lot going on here really. It's got just some grains up front and a little bit of a tart hoppiness in the aftertaste. I wouldn't need to have this beer again. I wasn't really impressed.

This review is for Rogue Sharktooth Ale, which BA forwards to this beer.
A - Fluffy head poured out 4 fingers high with a loose bubble structure. It gives up it's height in a hurry, but leaves some nice creamy peaks. The liquid is a yellow gold.
S - Wonderful malt, and lightly earthy.
T - Great malt character. Nice yellow cake sweetness. Touch of herbal hops and spicy ginger. Clean and delicious. A fantastic flavor combination.
M - Round and medium bodied. Finishes pleasantly sweet.
D - Perfect drinkability in my mind. Nice carbonation and a soft, well rounded, well balanced, flavor profile.

Thanks to my brother for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is wheat, ginger, lemon, perfume and caramel. The flavor is wheat, orange peel, coriander, perfume and flowery hops, lemons and a low amount of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
Overall, this beer tastes like a hopped up Belgian White. Decent and somewhat drinkable, but nothing special.

I had this last night at Word of Beer in Carrolwood, labeled as Shark Took Ale. This beer poured a deep gold with no head and little lacing. The aroma is a yeasty with a little sweet malt. This is a malty grainy beer with lemon and a hop tail. A medium bodied beer, although I felt it was a little flat but decent overall.

Note: Bottled as Shark Tooth Ale. No marked alcohol percentage.
Appearance - 3.5
Pours a hazy golden yellow with almost two fingers of white foam head.
Smell - 3.5
A rather tart and floral aroma of warm white bread, coriander, ginger, citrus peel, spicy saaz hop and perhaps just a little caramel sweetness.
Taste - 2.5
It is immediately evident that this is a spiced ale, with coriander and ginger dominating the palate. A little bready pale and wheat malt character in the background, zesty lemon, with moderate bitterness from the saaz and willamette, as well as a fair amount of tartness. Ultimately the spiciness is too much for this drinker's taste, making me feel like I am drinking liquefied potpourri rather than beer.
Mouthfeel - 3.5
Light bodied with moderate to lively carbonation and reasonably fine bead.
Drinkability - 1.5
Not generally being a fan of spiced beer, I found this rather hard to drink, and certainly wouldn't bother with it again.
OVERALL - 2.9
I don't think there is anything wrong with brewing a spiced golden ale, but this is way over-spiced in my opinion.

22 oz bomber under the alias of 'Shark Tooth Ale' without a freshness date. I am surprised the shark on the label does not have a fin raised in salute! Gentle pour yields a mildly hazy light gold color with a soapy white foam. Retention and lacing are average at best, especially for a brew containing wheat.
Nose is pretty interesting as the saaz is readily apparent as well as some other hop notes and the ginger really sticks out. Nice, unique.
Alot going on here with the ginger being refreshing and zesty. The coriander softens things a little bit, but then some wheat tang comes out and is finished off by an ample supply of grassy, floral hop flavor and plenty of bitterness. A nice progression of flavors parade across the palate but the carbonation might be a bit high. This is one of the better Rogue beers I have had, a nice summertime brew. Still a bit pricey at 6.99 a bomber, but worth a try every now and again.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
A - Pours a hazy golden color with lots of carbonation and very little head. No retention at all, no lacing either.
T - It's better than I thought it would be. There is a mild hop taste, biscuit-like malts, hints of coriander, and a hint something sweet/fruity.
D - I could drink a few of these, they taste good and go down easy. The alcohol content also seems low, I doubt it's over 5% abv.

The bottle i have is called Shark Tooth Ale and has a shark and a stingray on the front along with the usual Rogue spiel about the brew i gotta admit im a big fan of Rogue especially the way they tell you everything about the brew the only thing that they leave out is the ABV anyways onto the beer it pours a vibrant golden colour with nice carbonation that leaves a one finger cloudy sky looking head and a nice neat rim of lacing a very attractive looking brew if i do say so myself, the aroma is straight out corriander mixed with ginger, freshly cut grass and a little paw paw,it has an above average mouthfeel which is nicely carbonated with the herbal combination of Ginger & Corriander first to the hit the palette which is followed by a nice hit of grassy fruity hops to beautifully balance out the tailend of this brew to make the Herbs not as dominant as they first smell and i wont say suprisingly cos it is Rogue but this beer is very sessionable especially for someone who doesnt like their Ginger or Corriander in their brews and think if you closed your eyes and smelt it you would say its a Witbier and if you didnt smell it and just drank it you would say more of a blonde and would be interested to see how it tastes with less or different Herbs or even none at all, will buy again.

Sharktooth Ale now, S: 22 oz bottle poured into a Blanche De Chambly glass.
A: Burnished gold with a slight haze, the head is not thick and does not retain long, there is ample and steady carbonation.
S: Some floral hops, but, most predominate is the coriander, in a way, the smell reminds one of some white beers.
T: Hops tend to rule the taste of this beer. At the beginning they had a crisp bite to the tongue adding a bit of bitter taste, towards the finish the sweet aspect of the hops kick in lingering at the back of the throat and joining in with the coriander.
M: It begins light but becomes creamy by mid-pallet. Ample carbonation keeps the light feeling.
D: The hops are pleasant, yet, not too strong. Carbonation keeps the beer light and relatively low alcohol makes this beer have plenty of drinkability.
Overall: Another nice offering from Rogue. The steady carbonation is nice to look at and the taste is nice. The coriander is a nice surprise addition that leaves a hint of unfiltered wheat beers.

Bottle. Poured clear amber with a huge rocky white head that lasted and produced good lacing. Heavy hoppy sweet citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate sweet citrus flavor with a light bitter finish of long duration.

Shark Tooth Ale (why the aliases?)
Hazy light golden, decent initial head.
Smells somewhat un-Rogue-like, yeast, grain, and faint citrus
Lemon and biscuit flavors in the taste as well, along with bready malts, faint hops, and light fruit flavors.
Medium-light mouthfeel and carbonation.
This was pleasant enough, but was a little off the beaten track for Rogue. Simple and easy drinker.

Pours a hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Good head retention and okay lacing. Middling.
Caramelly malts, earthy hops and some fruity esters come through in the aroma. Classic ESB sort of style.
Heavy bittering counters a big malt backbone with lots of caramel, toffee and biscuit. Apple and other fruits dominate the yeast character. Good.
Medium body and below average carbonation creates a solid beer.
Tasty enough but lacking in the complexity that makes some of these beers better.

I want to start off by saying that I am a huge fan of rogue... unfortunately I have had a beer of theirs that I can say that I actually did not like... and it was the shark tooth ale.
This beer started off on the right path. it poured a cloudy, light copper with a good looking stark white head that stuck around for a while. showed nice lacing as it receded down the side of my glass.
smelled really promising to be a super refreshing beer off the bat. Had some nice green apple esters and biscuity malts.
unfortunately, my first sip i when it turned south. it WAS sweet and buscuity, but ended up feeling quite metallic in taste. additionally, it was quite a bit heavier than I would have liked. I couldn't lose the thought of citrus rinds as this sat at the back of my mouth... it was quite off putting.
shared a bomber between the two of us and I actually poured out the last quarter of my glass.

reviewing this as a shark tooth ale, which is an alias i guess
-looks like a decent ale. golden yellow with some fogginess
-smells like a decent smelling lager aka not much
-really, really faint in the hops taste. some metallic taste which is more apparent thanks to eliott.
-feels a bit weird in the aftertaste. sits on your tongue like bitterness would
-didn't really enjoy it much. 1st rogue really that i not so much liked

22 Oz. bottle, poured a golden hay color with very little head. This beer had a great nose to it, but the taste seemed a bit, well, flat. Taste wise reminded me of something like spiced grass, the initial taste was good, the after taste just went away. Very little of anything here but the spicy/hoppy taste. This would have to be my least favorite Rogue beer that I've tried.

Bottled under Shark Tooth Ale, I had trouble finding it at first.
Good looking but still close to average. Hazy golden yellow.
Very potent smell when I popped the top. In the glass it's more like saaz and ginger.
Unfortunately flat taste.
No telling how old this bottle is. Wet cardboard and spicy hops.
Bit of heat from some ginger. All really weak, watery flavors. Too reminiscent of a failed home brewing experiment.
Bit watery, some malt.
Further proof that beer needs a produced on date.

Poured from a bomber into a pint glass.
Very nice, golden appearance with a small, one finger head that seemed to last. Lacing held tight as well.
Clean nose, not muddled by a lot of stuff, but scented bready malts and a flowery note was picked up.
Taste was pretty nice, especially on the fell. Pretty full mouthfeel for this beer. Nice full maltiness swirled around on the palate.
Pretty nice beer.

Pours a nice deep golden color with some good head and nice lacing. Very sweet scent, very malty with lager/adjunct attributes. Nice taste, sweet and malty, hints of butterscotch with a very slight hop finish. Goes down fine, drinkable if not the best.
Carried out in a bomber from Black Bear Burritos.

White Crane Bitter bottle. Love Rogue's Japan export bottle designs.
poured vigorously into a tall mug for a huge scoop-of-french-vanilla-ice-cream head atop a semi-hazy dark peach/golden beer. absolutely gorgeous.
smells of sweet fruits- peaches, apples, white grapes. a biscuit malt character. vanilla ice cream probably influenced by the visual association with the head, but present nonetheless. like a thick, sweet peach dessert. awesome.
the taste is thick biscuit/caramel malt with fruity hop presence & piney bittering. sweetness of brown sugar is quite present in the middle with a long lingering peach cobbler aftertaste. feels thick and desserty with just enough carbonation.
When I bought the bottle expected this to be an English Bitter--a style I'm not extremely fond of but can enjoy from time to time. This is just completely different and a really really delicious beer. Very drinkable unless you shy away from sweetness, but I want a whole case of this stuff!
(review edit: from what other people have said this seems like it might not completely be the same beer! but what do I know)

The White Crane bitter poured a hazy golden orange with a 3 finger foam head and some encompassing lacing. The head looked like a scoop of ice cream that was part pancake batter.
The smell was dry and of yeasty bread. The taste is buttery malt and dominated by that malt with a solid bitter finish. Little bit of sweetness in the middle. It is a wonderful tasty brew. I would like to see more of this in bombers. This has more to it than any blonde I have had, ales that is.
