22oz bottle of "Jazz Guy Ale" poured into a Dogfish Head snifter. Split with amwebber, thank you for the bottle.
A - pours clear hazel color with one finger of foam. Minimal lacing
S - nuttiness, fruity aroma, hint of hops
T - a fruity flavor dominates, followed by a toasted maltiness. Decent overall
M - decent amount of viscosity, smooth mouthfeel.
D - A very solid American Ale. Seems to be a waste of a bomber though. Goes down smooth and refreshing
Pretty good beer overall but this beer should be sold in a 6 pack and not a 22 oz bomber. Why create a run of the mill beer in a nice bottle? I'm particularly annoyed at how this beer is identical the their American Ale, but with a different label. Who the hell is the Jazz Guy? This beer loses points for packaging and marketing. Sorry. The packaging leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
