12oz bottle poured into snifter.
Appearance-pours a little lighter than copper, small off-white head, small amount of lacing down glass. 3.75
Aroma-Carmel, light roasted malts, orange, hint of brown sugar, very very light vanilla bean. 3.75
Taste-Carmel, light citrus hops, orange peel, brown sugar, taste follows smell constitantly. 3.25
Feel-light & watery, bitter & grainy, coats palate well but doesn't stick. 3.25
Overall-Slightly better than average. Nothing really stands out with this one, the flavors ate almost there but never quite develop. I would only buy this on close-out. Rogue does it again with a par beer. 3.25

I absolutely love the color of this amber with its bright brassy highlights and sturdy hue. It loses points, though, with an unimpressive head of this thin fleeting fizz and a ton of clinging carbonation bubbles.
The nose is malty, nutty, maybe pecans and a bit of grain. There's hints of roast and a bit of tea leaf.
The flavors are more roasted, more nutty, and filled with pecans. The roasted flavor is dry and the malts are filled with barley, tea leaf and grain.
The feel is exceptionally dry but also thin and watery.
This is a good example of the style with all the profile pieces I want in an Amber. My only regret, and it's small, is that the thin watery feel doesn't allow the flavor to truly blossom.
