Liked it. Nice hop aroma i thought i was about to dive into a pale ale. Nope, dry and very clean pilsner like. Very bubbly also. The flowery hop aroma really through me for a loop this beer would be awesome on a hot day.

You'll get the Soba taste. If you like it, you will be hooked. Nutty.

It's advertised with Soba all over it, but honestly, I couldn't taste any difference between this and your standard wheat beer. I was expecting something darker, but it came out quite light looking and had a taste of honey to it. Nice novelty, but nothing special.

05/16/12 A tad thick on the tongue & a touch bitter, but all in all a nice brew. A 'tweener inasmuch as it seems to be suited as a spring/autumn beer.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy honey color with a thick head that leaves plenty of splashy lace

Smell: Honey sweetness with earthy buckwheat tones

Appearance: Honey coated wheat toast, up front, with the sweetness lingering as it is countered by earthy hops; a bit grainy in the finish, though the earthy tones blend nicely with the sweeter malts

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: I can see this pairing very nicely with Japanese food but as a standalone beverage it is a bit too sweet to command my attention
