Appearance: Pours a very nice deep copper color. No haze apparent, and a fair amount of carbonation. Head is off-white, with very nice retention and lacing.
Smell: Lots of caramel malts are present in this beer. Some citrus also, and a dose of hops round it out nicely. Not overly complex, but very solid, and not a hint of booze.
Taste: Caramel malts form the base, with a hint of citrus as well. A small amount of spice is present that wasn't apparent on the nose. A nice amount of hops round it out.
Mouthfeel/Overall: Mouthfeel is outstanding. Medium bodied, with just the right amount of fine carbonation. Very creamy and smooth on the palate. Overall, I really enjoyed this one from Rogue. A simple, yet solid strong ale that I would definitely have again.
